Netflix has added Regina Hall, known for her role in Nine Perfect Strangers, to the cast of its upcoming thriller series, Rabbit, Rabbit. The series will also star Adam Driver and is directed by Philip Barantini (of Adolescence), who also serves as an executive producer. Peter Craig is the showrunner.
Odessa Young, known for Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, and Will Poulter, who starred in Dopesick and Warfare, are joining the film alongside Hall and Driver. Driver is also an executive producer on the project.
A new Netflix thriller will focus on a hostage situation that begins unexpectedly and quickly escalates. The story follows an escaped prisoner who, while surrounded by police at a truck stop, takes people hostage hoping to negotiate his release.
What to Read Next
The situation quickly spirals out of control, turning into a chaotic and unintended social study involving the hostages. It also becomes a tense emotional game between the captor and an experienced FBI negotiator who specializes in understanding and connecting with people in crisis.
Hall is joining the Netflix series after appearing in the critically acclaimed, Oscar-nominated film One Battle After Another.

Actress Alana Hall, discussing her character Deandra in the dark comedy and action-thriller film, told The Wrap that she and director Paul Thomas Anderson had many conversations about Deandra’s place within the story.
She witnessed the early days of the French 75 cocktail and initially believed in its potential, but that hope faded as the drink changed over time. He once described her as his ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi,’ which gave me insight into how he saw her – like a foundational, essential figure, similar to how a bass player is crucial to a band.
While a bass player can be talented, the drummer is usually the one you truly remember. Similarly, understanding Deandra’s role in the story is key, especially because the story revolves around Willa. Willa is central to everything – she’s the heart of the narrative. It’s important to really know her, to understand her origins and how she came to be.
No character details or a release window have been shared at this point for Rabbit, Rabbit.
