Netflix has released a first look at its upcoming crime series, Detective Hole, based on the popular novels by Jo Nesbø. The trailer showcases the show’s fast-paced action and introduces Tobias Santelmann (known for The Last Kingdom) as Harry Hole, a famous detective from the books.
This new series adapts the popular novels by Jo Nesbø, a critically acclaimed crime writer Netflix calls one of the best in the genre. His books have a large and dedicated fanbase around the world.
I’m really excited about Detective Hole! As one of the creators and executive producers, I’ve had a blast working with Tobias Santelmann to bring a new version of Harry Hole to life. We’ve tried to stay true to the character and the world from the books, but also give him a fresh take. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve come up with!

Santelmann, the lead actor, has said that playing this well-loved character is a huge honor and an exciting opportunity.
He described Jo Nesbø’s stories as incredibly detailed and Harry Hole as a fascinating, layered character. He expressed his gratitude for the chance to work on the project, hoping viewers will love their version of Harry. He said being involved and collaborating with the team was a wonderful experience.

Netflix describes the new series, Detective Hole, based on Jo Nesbø’s work, as a classic whodunnit mystery. The main character is portrayed as a flawed hero, or anti-hero.
Beneath its action-packed exterior, the series is a complex story about two police officers who are technically coworkers but work for opposing sides of the law.
Detective Harry, a gifted but troubled investigator haunted by his past, will face off against his longtime rival, Tom Waaler. The story follows Harry as he tries to stop a serial killer and expose Waaler’s wrongdoing, all while grappling with difficult moral choices within the justice system. He must succeed before time runs out.

The cast also features Joel Kinnaman (known for The Killing), who will play Tom Waaler, and Pia Tjelta (Made in Oslo, State of Happiness). Rounding out the ensemble are Peter Stormare (Fargo), Anders Baasmo (La Palma), Kåre Conradi (Billionaire Island), and Eili Harboe (Succession).
It certainly sounds like one not to be missed.
Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole is coming to Netflix on March 26.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color magazine dedicated to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can find it in newsagents or order it online for only £8.99.
