Netflix’s intriguing “character-driven mystery thriller” with Peaky Blinders star confirms release date
The upcoming Netflix thriller miniseries, which takes place in the beautiful Yosemite National Park, has unveiled its trailer and officially announced it will be available this summer.
In a nod to its “character-driven mystery” genre, the drama Untamed features Eric Bana portraying Kyle Turner, a National Parks Service agent, and Sam Neill, known for his roles in Peaky Blinders and Jurassic Park, taking on the character of Paul Souter, Yosemite’s park ranger chief.
The series will make its debut on July 17th, airing all six one-hour episodes simultaneously on the streaming platform.

As suggested by the plot summary, the central enigma of this series centers on a grisly demise that could potentially connect to Kyle’s personal history, ultimately revealing the hidden shadows lurking in the park.
Neill’s Souter is described as “a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend to Turner”.
The character excels in every aspect of his work, handling issues within the park such as crime, and navigating the red tape associated with it.
In the ensemble of Untamed, we have Rosemarie DeWitt portraying Jill Bodwin, Alex’s former spouse who shares a cordial relationship with him, Lily Santiago taking on the role of Naya Vasquez, a former LA cop-turned-ranger, and Wilson Bethel bringing Shane Maguire, a wildlife management officer, to life.
Meanwhile, on various streaming services, the 1980s-themed supernatural horror series “Hysteria!” from Paramount+ has been drawing parallels with “Stranger Things” on Netflix.
The movie combines comedy and horror genres, featuring an ensemble cast, and it revolves around a struggling high school metal band that chooses to reinvent themselves as Satan worshippers. As strange disappearances and unusual events haunt their peaceful community, the band is swiftly blamed for these occurrences.
In this series, the main roles are filled by: Bruce Campbell, known for his work in “Evil Dead,” portrays Ben Dandridge, the police chief; Emjay Anthony from “Chef” takes on the role of Dylan Campbell, the central character; Julie Bowen from “Modern Family” plays Linda, Dylan’s mother; Nolan North from “Uncharted” is cast as Gene, Dylan’s father; and Anna Camp, famous for “Pitch Perfect,” portrays Tracy Whitehead, a devout fanatic.
The series that premiered in the United States last October can now be streamed in the UK for the very first time.
Untamed will premiere on Netflix on 17 July and Hysteria! is streaming now on Paramount+.
