As a die-hard fan who has grown up watching Adam Sandler’s comedies, this news about Happy Gilmore 2 fills me with sheer delight! I can still recall the hilarious antics of our beloved Happy Gilmore, and the thought of seeing him back on the golf course is simply exhilarating.

Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 has been given an exciting filming update.

In a couple of weeks, the new installment of Adam Sandler’s beloved 1996 comedy, which was announced earlier this year, will start filming.

The news was directly announced by Sandler himself during his recent visit on “The Tonight Show”. In this episode, he shared with host Jimmy Fallon that they are indeed planning to bring back the movie “Happy Gilmore”, making it a reality. They are preparing to film it in New Jersey and the production is set to begin within a couple of weeks. He was excited about it.

The movie will incorporate actual professional golfers within its actors and present brief appearances by celebrities like NFL star, Travis Kelce.

Regarding Kelce’s role in the upcoming film, Sandler stated: “Travis will make an appearance, and since he brought it up, we prepared a special treat for him.”

In this remade film, Sandler plays the lead role of a grumpy, unsuccessful hockey player who unexpectedly finds himself gifted at golf. He decides to join a competition in an attempt to prevent his beloved grandmother’s home from being lost.

In the upcoming sequel “Happy Gilmore 2”, it’s been confirmed that Sandler will once again take on his iconic role, and we can expect Christopher McDonald to join him as they rekindle their on-screen rivalry with Shooter McGavin.

McDonald had hinted at a sequel earlier, sharing in March, “I met with Adam not too long ago, and he tells me, ‘McDonald, you’re going to love this.’ I asked, ‘What?’ He responds, ‘How about that?’ and then shows me the initial draft of Happy Gilmore 2.”

Happy Gilmore 2 will stream on Netflix, with a release date yet to be confirmed.
