Okay, so there’s this really powerful moment near the end of the movie. Connor just laid into Bernie, saying he didn’t seem to care that June was dying. It really gets to him, and he ends up at the pub. But he doesn’t just go to drown his sorrows – he actually gets up and does karaoke! It’s a surprising scene, and honestly, pretty moving.

When Connor walks in, Bernie is singing ‘Georgia On My Mind’ as a heartfelt tribute to his wife, June, who adored hearing him perform Ray Charles songs. The moment becomes even more poignant when Bernie changes the lyrics to address her as ‘Junie,’ a detail that’s incredibly moving and heartbreaking.
