People who love the popular show on Netflix are eagerly anticipating its comeback. Luckily, there’s some great news about how Season 4 is coming along.
Diesel La Torraca, who plays Austin Miller on Ginny & Georgia, announced on Instagram that filming for Season 4 has finished. He shared a video of himself hugging Antonia Gentry (Ginny), his co-star. Although Netflix hasn’t announced a release date yet, the completion of filming suggests the new season will likely arrive relatively soon.
Season 4 of Ginny & Georgia Is Wrapped
La Torraca shared in her post how much she loves Ginny & Georgia’s cast and crew, saying it’s impossible to put into words! She feels incredibly lucky to have experienced so much talent, fun, and love during filming, and is thrilled to have completed another season.
Created by Sarah Lampert, Ginny & Georgia premiered on Netflix in 2021. The show centers on Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey), a mother in her thirties, and her two children, Ginny and Austin, as they start a new life in Wellsbury, Massachusetts. It’s a dramedy that blends the typical ups and downs of teen life with a look into Georgia’s complicated past, telling the story of Ginny growing up while also revealing secrets about her mother.
The show features a talented cast including Jennifer Robertson (known from Schitt’s Creek), Felix Mallard (Happy Together), Sara Waisglass (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights), Raymond Ablack (Orphan Black), Katie Douglas, Chelsea Clark (Degrassi: Next Class), and Nathan Mitchell (The Boys). Joining for Season 4 are new cast members Kataem O’Connor (Murdoch Mysteries), Ali Skovbye (Firefly Lane), and Sunny Mabrey (Gotham Knights).
Ginny & Georgia Has Been a Tremendous Hit
Over the last five years, Ginny & Georgia has become a huge hit on Netflix. By 2025, viewers had watched over 1.1 billion hours of the show across its first three seasons, according to data from FlixPatrol. Netflix renewed the series for two more seasons back in 2023, and Season 3 was released in June 2025. Reports in September 2025 indicated that production was underway on Season 4.
Season 4 of Ginny & Georgia finds Georgia Miller having narrowly escaped a murder accusation, hoping life can return to normal. However, the Millers are once again facing financial hardship, and Georgia is unexpectedly pregnant – unsure of who the father is. Meanwhile, unsettling events suggest Georgia’s hidden past is resurfacing. Ginny is determined to escape the family’s chaotic patterns, while Georgia is equally determined to demonstrate stability to her children. Austin is also facing his own battles. The family is at a critical juncture, and the season explores whether they can truly move forward or if they’ll be dragged back into old troubles.
Ginny & Georgia is streaming on Netflix. Season 4 does not yet have an official premiere date.
