Netflix’s Frankenstein movie confirms release window with first look at Oscar Isaac

Many film adaptations of “Frankenstein” exist, but Guillermo del Toro’s forthcoming interpretation could very well be among the most eagerly awaited versions to date.

It was revealed today that Netflix plans to debut the film “Frankenstein” on their streaming platform in November 2025; however, an exact release date has not been specified as of now.

In addition to sharing the thrilling announcement, we’ve also been given a sneak peek at Oscar Isaac portraying Victor Frankenstein, a character who consistently breathes life into a creation during an experiment. However, this groundbreaking act leads not only to Victor’s own demise but also to the destruction of his creation.

Check it out below:

As a gamer, I can’t wait to dive into the world of “Frankenstein,” a masterpiece penned and brought to life by the brilliant Guillermo del Toro. In this tale, none other than Jacob Elordi takes on the role of the iconic monster, promising an unforgettable journey.

The part was initially designated for Andrew Garfield, but due to scheduling issues, he was unable to fulfill it. However, by December 2024, Garfield expressed his regret for not being able to take the role but was genuinely happy that Odoni stepped in instead.

In a rather fortunate turn of events, encountering Jacob felt like a delightful coincidence. It allowed me to truly grasp and appreciate the fact that perhaps he benefited more from that experience than I did. That moment was quite intriguing, as it made me realize how much he seemed to relish and enjoy his time on that job, as he shared with Deadline.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t wait to see how Guzman-Elordi will embody the iconic figure of Frankenstein’s monster under the masterful direction of Guillermo del Toro. The mystery surrounding his appearance only heightens my anticipation for an unforgettable portrayal!

As a die-hard fan, I can’t hide my excitement about the upcoming “Frankenstein” movie! Mia Goth is rumored to play Elizabeth Lavenza, Frankenstein’s beloved, alongside some incredible talents such as Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, Charles Dance, Christoph Waltz, and David Bradley. I can hardly wait to see this stellar cast bring the classic tale to life!

This year, we won’t just be seeing one “Frankenstein” movie, as Maggie Gyllenhaal’s latest film, “The Bride,” hits theaters on September 26th.

In the heart of this gamer, I’m thrilled to share that a fresh take on the classic tale, “Bride of Frankenstein,” is coming to screens near me! This time around, the monster will be brought to life by none other than Christian Bale, while the role of his bride falls into the capable hands of Jessie Buckley. Can’t wait to see this cinematic masterpiece unfold!

Frankenstein is released on Netflix in November 2025.
