According to a recent announcement from Netflix, Leif Dessau and Laura Cordsen will be back for the second season, along with Afshin Firouzi and Nicolas Bro, who played Miran and Folke in the first season.
Although details about the second season are scarce, the streaming service has revealed that the characters will face their toughest battles yet as they struggle to survive and achieve justice.
Filming for the next season will start in Copenhagen later this year. Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm will oversee the creative vision as Conceptual Director and also write the scripts with Frederik Ringtved.

Sahlstrøm expressed delight at the positive reception of The Asset, saying they are excited to further explore the characters and share their stories with the audience.
The new season dramatically changes things, bringing Tea and Ashley back together and testing their limits with a series of difficult challenges, according to sources.
The show premiered in October 2025 and quickly became popular around the globe. It reached number one in 52 countries and the top ten in 90, garnering a total of 11.3 million views.
I was checking out what other people are saying about The Asset, and one comment really hit home. Someone said it’s not trying to be some groundbreaking, totally new spy show, and that’s okay! It just really works and kept them watching all six episodes, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a series.

A viewer shared that they watched the entire show in one go and really loved how the plot developed. They praised the consistently good acting, the realistic story, and a final twist that clearly sets up another season.
Okay, so I’ve been watching The Asset, and honestly, it started really strong. The story grabbed me right away and the first few episodes were super well-paced. But I’ve gotta say, it kinda lost its way a bit. There were definitely episodes that dragged, and the suspense just wasn’t there like it was in the beginning. Some of them just felt… slow, and didn’t have much action to keep things interesting.
The Asset is streaming on Netflix.
