Netflix has unveiled a teaser trailer for its “monstrous” remake of Mary Shelley’s classic novel.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m eagerly anticipating the new movie directed by Guillermo del Toro, titled “Frankenstein.” In this role, I become Victor Frankenstein, an arrogant scientist with a penchant for unconventional experiments that ultimately unleash chaos upon the world.

As we eagerly await its Netflix debut this coming November, I’ve had a sneak peek at the chilling sci-fi horror they’ve been cooking up. A riveting teaser trailer has been unveiled to whet our appetites.

The YouTube-shared video features a regretful Victor recounting the dreadful occurrences. According to the summary, this involves a grotesque scientific endeavor that eventually brings about the demise of its inventor and his pitiful product.

Victor says, “I decided that the recollection of my wrongdoings would perish along with me. Some parts of what I’m about to share are real events, while others might not be, but everything I say holds a kernel of truth.

In the trailer, we see various scenes of Victor’s daring project, where he constructs a monster using body parts he’s taken from the deceased. Subsequently, he assumes the role of a deity, animating his creature with electric power.

In his explanation, he shares that a concept emerged within him, growing steadily and undeniably until it transformed into reality. He expresses it as, “In my pursuit of life, I unwittingly brought about its counterpart, death.

After a fearsome growl, viewers catch a glimpse of Jacob Elordi transforming into the beast, although cloaked in a ragged robe. The beast’s indomitable power is evident as he effortlessly fends off a group of villagers, then angrily bellowing Victor’s name.

In the trailer, it is shown that Mia Goth assumes the role of Elizabeth Lavenza, Frankenstein’s romantic interest. She will be sharing screen time with an impressive lineup of actors including Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, Charles Dance, Christoph Waltz, and David Bradley.

Frankenstein is released on Netflix in November 2025.
