Netflix thriller with stacked Hollywood cast is now available to watch
A new Netflix thriller series with an incredible A-list cast is finally available to stream.
In a new scenario, the story revolves around ex-president George Mullen, portrayed by Robert De Niro, who is coaxed out of his peaceful retirement after a lethal cyber assault occurs. He’s then assigned the mission to uncover the perpetrators.
In the course of his examination, he uncovers an extensive network of deception and secret plots that reaches directly into the core of the administration.
The highly acclaimed event boasts the presence of actors like Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, and Dan Stevens as well.
In addition to the main actors, Bill Camp, Angela Bassett, Matthew Modine, and McKinley Belcher III are part of the larger cast, along with regulars such as Clark Gregg, Gaby Hoffmann, Mark Ivanir, and Mozhan Navabi who frequently appear.
Today, the long-awaited series has made its debut on Netflix, earning praise from early critics who find “Zero Day” to be downright suspenseful and gripping.
In their critique, Empire noted that the series’ main issue lies in its rhythm, but as the storyline begins to unfold, the pace picks up significantly, and the final episodes are absolutely thrilling.
The Guardian found Zero Day to be an incredibly enjoyable experience, noting that it’s solid foundation is provided by De Niro’s portrayal of a decent individual grappling with the moral complexities of a world that presents either outright corruption or only the option for compromise.
Conversely, The Independent found Zero Day lacking in its potential to astonish, unengaging in its intentions, and deficient in its entertainment value.
Discussing his work on the series, legendary actor Robert De Niro expressed that it felt comparable to shooting not one, but three full-length films simultaneously.
He compared it to standing in the English Channel, facing away from both France and England; neither country is visible to him now, as he shared with The Guardian.
I need to keep going, keeping abreast of the events, the constant flow of data, and the progression of the narrative. I must stay one step ahead, remain focused. This was an entirely different type of encounter for me.
Zero Day is available to stream now on Netflix.
