Netflix star Sebastian de Souza shares agony after breaking his leg following a horrifying bike accident

Sebastian de Souza has revealed he has broken his leg following a horrific bike accident.

32-year-old actor from Normal People, who featured alongside Sofia Carson in Netflix’s The Life List this year, shared images from a hospital stay on Instagram, disclosing the degree of his injuries on Tuesday.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I found myself in an unexpected predicament recently – a mishap on my bicycle led me to seek help from kind strangers who graciously assisted me. They escorted me to the esteemed St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, where I received much-needed medical attention.

In a new look with fresh hair, I’m adapting to a new normal! Apologies for the lack of communication, dear Souzles. Three weeks ago, I had a mishap while riding my bike and fractured my leg.

Among the multitude of extraordinarily generous individuals I’ve encountered lately, there is one who stands out as particularly kind-hearted.

You undoubtedly recognize yourself, and I can never truly repay your kindness. It was you who led me to St. Mary’s Hospital Paddington, where I was promptly attended by the remarkable team in the emergency department – paramedics, doctors, nurses, cleaners, and administrative staff alike. Each one of them made me feel so welcomed, comfortable, and secure.

It was discovered that I suffered from a tibial plateau fracture, which is often referred to as a “bike leg.” Consequently, I required surgery to address it.

At St. Mary’s, considered one of the top trauma centers globally, it was understandable to find numerous individuals with more severe injuries than mine awaiting urgent procedures. Consequently, my injured knee had to be temporarily delayed in receiving treatment due to the high priority given to those in need.

Consequently, I found myself enjoying a delightful, motivating, enlightening, affectionate two-week stay at St. Mary’s Valentine Ellis and Zachary Cope wards, eagerly anticipating my surgery!

In the gratitude note on Slide 18, I express that I’ve never experienced such warmth, consideration, respect, empathy, and affection as I have here.

I’ve never encountered anyone who has demonstrated such a consistent blend of professionalism and compassion towards all, as extensively as this person does.

Over the past fortnight, I’ve been fortunate enough to observe acts of selflessness, kindness, and generosity that are truly exceptional in today’s world. Remarkable behavior, more elusive than magic.

I am deeply grateful for both @nhsengland and @nhsenglandldn. In my opinion, the NHS is an exceptional creation that deserves unwavering support, defense, and recognition. It’s a treasure we should cherish forever.

I’m sorry for the extended email, but I felt compelled to express my heartfelt gratitude to every member of the team at St Mary’s Paddington. Your dedication and kindness truly deserve an expression beyond words, so please accept this message as a humble token of my deepest appreciation for who you are as individuals.

I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to my exceptional family and dear friends who have been my pillars of strength during this captivating new phase in my life. Their unwavering support, loyalty, and kindness make them the most extraordinary individuals on Earth.
