Netflix reveals new Thursday Murder Club set photo as filming wraps
As a seasoned gamer of both the big and small screen, I must say that the news about “The Thursday Murder Club” movie leaves me thrilled! With a cast boasting heavyweights like Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie, under the direction of Chris Columbus, this murder mystery is shaping up to be a masterpiece.
Netflix has given The Thursday Murder Club fans another teaser ahead of the film’s release.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve just finished participating in the wrap-up of an eagerly anticipated murder mystery film adaptation, which is based on Richard Osman’s cherished book of the same title. It was a thrilling journey!
To mark the significant achievement of the film, the streaming titan has unveiled an exclusive, backstage cast and team snapshot.
In this photo, you’ll find several well-known individuals, including Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie, all standing together with the movie’s director, Chris Columbus.
Keen-eyed viewers might spot Naomi Ackie among the gathered cast members in the team picture. This is the initial glimpse of the actress dressed as her role, Police Constable Donna de Freitas.
The announcement was made only a few days ago, following confirmation from Osman that the movie, which began filming back in late June, wrapped up shooting on September 11.
Previously known as ‘Pointless’, the now-author expressed his anticipation for the forthcoming movie, expressing optimism that it’s likely to hit the screens by the end of next year.
During a chat on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, Osman clarified that even though he’s been to the set multiple times, he won’t be appearing in any on-screen appearances.
He firmly stated, “I may incorporate a minor vocal element, yet I can’t actually be there.” He explained, “Imagine people asking, ‘What’s the Pointless host doing at a Sussex police station?’. It would certainly seem unusual.
As I, a gaming enthusiast, hopped onto the set of The Thursday Murder Club, it wasn’t just Osman who added star power. Last month, the legendary Steven Spielberg himself swung by too!
Excitedly speaking as a die-hard fan, I can’t wait to dive deeper into the world of The Thursday Murder Club! It seems there are even more tales yet to be unraveled for us to savor in the time to come.
Recently, Osman affirmed that his group of detective seniors will be back for another adventure since he’s already initiated work on the fifth installment in the series.
Moreover, a theatre production titled “Thursday Murder Club” is being developed, inspired by the highly successful book series.
The Thursday Murder Club movie does not yet have a release date.
