Netflix releases first look at Barry Keoghan in Peaky Blinders movie

As a die-hard Peaky Blinders fan who’s seen every episode more times than I can count, the news about Barry Keoghan joining the cast of the upcoming movie has sent me into a frenzy! With my heart pounding like a Tommy gun and my nerves taut as a razor wire fence, I can hardly contain my excitement.

Netflix has shared an advance sneak peek at Barry Keoghan, starring in the upcoming “Peaky Blinders” film.

In August, it became known that Keoghan would be working with Cillian Murphy on an upcoming film, along with other fresh talents such as Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo.

In the upcoming film, it remains unclear which role Keoghan will be taking on, but a sneak peek at his character suggests he could be a member of the Tommy Shelby gang.

Filming for the “Peaky Blinders” movie began last month, providing us with an early sneak peek of Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby.

The specifics of the plot are still unclear, but we do know that it will pick up where the BBC series left off and take place during World War II.

In addition to Murphy, other familiar faces will be reprising their roles in the film. These include Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg, Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, along with Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck.

In addition to the well-known actors on screen, there are also familiar names contributing off-screen. The film for “Peaky Blinders” has been penned by its creator Steven Knight himself, and it will be directed by Tom Harper, who was behind the camera for several episodes of the show’s initial season.

Murphy previously promised that the Peaky Blinders movie is “one for the fans”.

Looks like old Tommy Shelby isn’t done with me yet, it seems. I’m thrilled to be teaming up once more with Steven Knight and Tom Harper for the big-screen adaptation of ‘Peaky Blinders’.

If you can’t wait for the movie to arrive to see more of Murphy, he is currently back in UK cinemas with Irish drama Small Things Like These.

Netflix’s Peaky Blinders movie does not yet have a release date.
