Netflix is removing Emma Thompson and Jason Watkins’ drama The Children Act later this month.
The movie is an adaptation of Ian McEwan’s 2014 novel, and it narrates the story of High Court judge Fiona who gets involved in a case concerning a 17-year-old boy battling leukemia.
Medical professionals propose administering a blood transfusion; however, his parents as Jehovah’s Witnesses, adhering strictly to their religious beliefs, refuse this procedure. As she becomes increasingly involved in the case and it drags on, her personal life and marriage are progressively strained to the brink of collapse.
