With four Harlan Coben series already out this year, fans won’t have to wait long for more – a new adaptation is coming in 2026. So far, 14 of Coben’s stories have been turned into TV shows, and most of them are available on Netflix. While most adaptations are based on his novels, not every series comes directly from his books.
Harlan Coben’s newest thriller, Lazarus, is a good example of his work moving to different streaming platforms. Like his 2023 series Shelter, Lazarus premiered on Prime Video instead of Netflix. This one wasn’t based on a book, but Coben created it as an entirely original story. If you prefer shows adapted from his novels, Netflix is where to find them, starting on New Year’s Day.
Netflix’s Next Harlan Coben Adaptation, Run Away, Releases On January 1, 2026

Netflix will release a new thriller called Run Away, adapted from a Harlan Coben novel, on January 1st, 2026. This eight-part series is part of a larger deal with Coben that will continue through 2027. Run Away centers on a compelling family mystery as a father searches for his missing daughter, and is based on Coben’s 2019 book of the same name.
As a big fan of Harlan Coben adaptations, I’m really excited about this new one, Run Away! James Nesbitt, who I really enjoyed in the Missing You series on Netflix, is the lead. He plays a father desperately searching for his daughter and stumbling onto some seriously dark secrets. The cast is fantastic too – Minnie Driver, Ruth Jones, Alfred Enoch, and Ellie de Lange are all on board. And the best part? Just like other Coben shows on Netflix, you’ll be able to binge-watch the whole thing on January 1st!
Run Away Continues An Interesting Trend For Harlan Coben Adaptations On Netflix

Harlan Coben fans can look forward to a new series starting in 2026, but this isn’t the first time they’ve begun a year with a new adaptation of his work. In 2024, Netflix released Fool Me Once on January 1st, and it quickly became very popular.
On January 1, 2025, Netflix released Missing You, a five-part series following a detective who unexpectedly finds her missing fiancé on a dating app. While Fool Me Once and Missing You haven’t been the most highly praised Harlan Coben adaptations, Run Away aims to continue a trend of strong viewership for Netflix each January, marking the third consecutive year of potential growth.
Harlan Coben Has Another Show Coming In January 2026

I’m so excited! Just when I finished binge-watching Run Away on Netflix, another Harlan Coben project is coming out! He’s going to be hosting a true crime series called Harlan Coben’s Final Twist on CBS starting January 7th, 2026. It’s a weekly show where he’ll walk us through real cases, sharing all the details and even exclusive interviews with people connected to them. It sounds absolutely gripping!
Besides the already announced shows Run Away and Final Twist, another Harlan Coben TV series is coming in 2026. I Will Find You, starring Sam Worthington, Milo Ventimiglia, and Britt Lower, is scheduled for release next year. We might also hear more about Netflix’s plans for a series based on Coben’s popular Myron Bolitar character.
