The new spy thriller Humint, packed with non-stop action, is now streaming on Netflix. Created by South Korean writer and director Ryoo Seung-wan, it’s a great choice for anyone who enjoys action-packed spy stories.
The movie stars Zo In-sung as a South Korean intelligence officer sent to Russia. While investigating a major international crime group near the border, he clashes with an agent from North Korea.
The new series follows a South Korean spy as they investigate a drug operation in Russia, leading to a dangerous confrontation with a North Korean agent. Both become entangled in a web of secrets and face increasing danger, and Netflix has called the show a dark and gritty thriller.

I just started watching this new spy thriller on the streaming service, and it’s already getting a lot of buzz! Park Jeong-min and Shin Se-kyung are both in it, and they’re great in their roles. It dropped on Tuesday, and honestly, I’m hooked so far.
According to FlixPatrol, the movie Humint is currently the 8th most popular film on Netflix globally. Surprisingly, it’s proving most popular in Romania, where it’s the #1 movie right now, rather than its country of origin.

Okay, so critics haven’t really weighed in on this movie yet, but the first couple of reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are positive – they’ve given it a ‘Fresh’ rating. Over on IMDb, people are giving it a 6.5 out of 10, based on about 232 ratings so far. Not bad, but I’m still curious to see what the pros think!
According to Ready Steady Cut, Humint is a thrilling action movie but a rather weak spy thriller. This combination leaves the film feeling uneven and caught between those two genres.
I was really pleased to read the South China Morning Post‘s review! They described the movie as “dynamic,” and said that just when things started to feel a little slow, it totally exploded into non-stop action – which sounds amazing! It’s great to hear they thought it really picked up the pace.

Those willing to stick with the slow-burn, atmospheric first half – filled with mysterious meetings in dark clubs and bleak streets – will find the film culminates in a truly impressive display of action and heroic sacrifice, rivaling the best in the genre.
One IMDb user gave the film a 7 out of 10, praising its exciting action and engaging beginning. However, they felt the movie was ultimately weakened by noticeable gaps in the plot that were difficult to overlook.
Humint is streaming now on Netflix.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-colour 100-page magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
