Netflix finally releases epic trailer for “insane” sequel to one of its best action movies

Netflix unveiled a longer preview for the upcoming action sequel of “The Old Guard 2,” offering a more detailed glimpse of Uma Thurman taking on an antagonistic character.

In continuation of the 2020 popular streaming movie titled “The Old Guard 2“, Theron’s character, Andy, along with her fellow mercenaries, encounter a formidable adversary played by Thurman.

In the video you’re watching, Andy resumes her role as guardian for humankind, facing numerous threats even after she herself had her immortality stripped away in the initial movie.

When Thurman’s villain poses a threat to her group, Andy seeks assistance from a fresh character named Tuah, portrayed by Henry Golding, who appears to have some insight into their adversary.

He informs Andy, “She’s the oldest among the Eternals. She’s familiar with your past, your connections…

“Do you think she knows that I’ve lost my immortality?” Andy replies.

At the same time, Andy is persistently pursued by Quynh (Veronica Ngô). The trailer shows the Immortal being pulled from the water and freed from the prison-like device known as an iron maiden that held her captive.

Currently wandering freely, Quynh is resolute on locating Andy, and let me tell you, their reunion probably won’t be a warm and fuzzy one.

The movie, earlier characterized as featuring “excessive action” by Theron, is now being helmed by Victoria Mahoney, stepping in for previous director of “The Old Guard”, Gina Prince-Bythewood.

For this installment, the veteran screenwriter Greg Rucka, known for his work on the original graphic novel that inspired the series, is back in the writer’s chair.

In the upcoming movie, the original lineup of talented actors – Luca Marinelli, Marwan Kenzari, KiKi Layne, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Matthias Schoenaerts – will once again take on their respective characters, as seen in the previous film.

The Old Guard 2 is released on Netflix on 2 July.

Here it is! The inaugural print issue of Digital Spy’s magazine has arrived. You can purchase “British Comedy Legends” from your local newsstand or online stores for just £7.99. Enjoy a good read!
