Netflix fans left scratching their heads by new true crime documentary Biggest Heist Ever

As a seasoned investigator with years of experience in unraveling complex financial crimes, I find myself utterly baffled by this story that seems to blend the worlds of cybercrime, rap music, and Wall Street more seamlessly than any hip-hop track.

Many viewers found themselves amazed upon completing the watch of the latest Netflix true crime documentary titled ‘The Biggest Heist Ever’, as they often described it as more bizarre than any work of fiction could ever portray.

The documentary narrates the tale of Ilya ‘Dutch’ Lichtenstein and Heather ‘Razzlekhan’ Morgan, a couple who were involved in washing approximately 4.5 billion dollars worth of illicitly obtained Bitcoins in the year 2016.

The Bitcoin, valued at approximately $72 billion, that was embezzled originated from the Hong Kong-based digital currency exchange, Bitfinex.

The married couple were arrested in New York for conspiracy to launder cryptocurrency in 2022.

At that point, Morgan had already spent three years in what she referred to as her musical profession and often went by the nickname “The Crocodile of Wall Street.

As I find myself at the center of attention in Netflix’s recent crime documentary, “The Biggest Heist Ever,” I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension. Viewers from all over have been captivated by this tale, describing it as both ‘wild’ and ‘bonkers.’ It’s an experience that has truly taken my breath away!

‘The Big Heist on Netflix’ was a fascinating documentary, but the wife character was quite peculiar,’ a user commented.

Others were shocked that they had never heard of the case before given its twists and turns.

As an enthusiastic viewer, I took the time to watch “The Biggest Heist Ever” on Netflix – a captivating documentary detailing the investigation into the Bitfinex hack. The production was top-notch and I walked away with a wealth of new knowledge.

It seems there are many questions left unanswered and certain aspects that appear confusing. The government has stated that national security concerns might be involved.

Several X users supported the documentary and recommended fans to stream it when they can.

User X shared, “Currently streaming The Biggest Heist Ever on Netflix. Just a heads-up, those tech whizzes – hackers and coders – are always worth monitoring. Extremely captivating series.

Few Rotten Tomatoes users have seen the movie “Biggest Heist Ever”, as there’s been just a single audience member posting a review since its debut on December 6.

‘Basically laughing at neurodivergent weirdness but to be fair, suspending all decency you can’t help but find their weirdness funny,’ they wrote, leaving a rating of 3.5-stars wrote.

The girl stands out as someone you occasionally encounter, who possesses an abundance of confidence that seems to overshadow her sense of reason. This combination can be potentially risky.

Authorities successfully retrieved $3.6 billion worth of cryptocurrency that had been stolen, following the arrest of Lichtenstein and Morgan by the police.

Following their arrest, Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco declared in a 2022 statement that cryptocurrencies are not a sanctuary for criminals.

In a vain attempt to preserve their online privacy, the accused individuals transferred illegally obtained money via complex sequences of cryptocurrency exchanges, as stated by Monaco.

Due to the diligent efforts of law enforcement, they demonstrated yet again their ability to trace funds, regardless of its nature.

Approximately one-quarter (25,000) of the 119,754 bitcoins stolen from Bitfinex were traced back to an account in Liechtenstein, as reported by the US Department of Justice in a press release. It is alleged that some of these funds were subsequently deposited into accounts under the control of both the individual named and Morgan.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Upon securing search warrants for their digital accounts, I uncovered some interesting transactions linked to Lichtenstein and Morgan.

The pair faced charges for conspiring to launder money illegally and also for attempting to deceive the U.S. government.

On August 3, 2023, I found myself standing before a court, admitting my guilt for one charge of conspiring to launder money alongside Lichtenstein. Morgan and I were involved in this conspiracy to commit money laundering.

On November 14, Lichtenstein received a sentence of five years in prison followed by three additional years under supervision due to his involvement in a money laundering operation.

According to CNBC, he might be freed from prison within less than two years, as he’s already earned credit for the 29 months he spent in custody following his arrest due to good behavior.

It wasn’t until 2020 that Morgan is said to have become aware of the situation, and he was given a 18-month prison term on November 18.

Even after serving jail time, Morgan continued to share pictures and videos on her social media platforms.

Both individuals expressed regret for their actions during the court proceedings, with Lichtenstein even imploring the judge to spare Morgan from any jail term.

Before getting arrested, Morgan was an aspiring rapper who shared numerous questionable YouTube videos of her music.

The convicted felon walked around Wall Street during one of her music videos while reciting these lyrics: ‘I’m many things, a rapper, an economist, a journalist, a writer, a CEO, and a dirty, dirty, dirty dirty h**.’

On her site, it is described that Razz fearlessly ventures into unexplored territories of art, much like her enterprising nature and innovative thinking.

According to Morgan, she perceives synesthesia, a phenomenon where hearing music triggers the visualization of colors or shapes.

However, what hoped to be a success turned into a major flop after she started releasing music.

In the show ‘Biggest Heist Ever,’ they discussed some aspects of Morgan’s supposed rise in her career, as well as the negative feedback she received from people who heard her music.

2022 saw a critic at Endgadget express that her performance lacked melody, the lyrics were awkward, and unfortunately, the musical video didn’t improve the situation much.

By 2022, Morgan had published approximately thirteen tracks, with themes that encompassed investing in Bitcoin and issues within the U.S. healthcare system among others.

In a YouTube video, she recently revealed her thoughts and emotions concerning the situation, as well as her husband, about which she spoke.

In a recent video post, Morgan expressed some personal thoughts and emotions, which she hadn’t done since her well-known case with the Fed concerning her husband’s hacking incident at Bitfinex. Despite his actions, she continues to hold deep affection for him.
