Netflix confirms the fate of The Gentlemen after Theo James gangster thriller scoops string of rave reviews
As a long-time fan of gripping narratives and captivating performances, I must admit that the news of a continuation for “The Gentlemen” series has left me absolutely thrilled! Having followed the film since its release in 2019, I can’t help but feel like I’ve struck gold twice with this one.
Netflix has officially announced that the popular television series, “The Gentlemen,” created by Guy Ritchie, is set to come back with a new season.
The highly acclaimed, stardom-filled British gangster series has become one of the year’s most successful shows on our platform following its impressive accumulation of 44 million views within a mere four weeks.
The award-winning director, Guy, is set to come back and oversee the action-comedy series again. It has been confirmed that Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings will resume their roles in the show.
In its debut season, the Tinseltown phenomenon introduced a novel interpretation of the 2019 film, complete with a brand-new ensemble of personalities.
As an ardent admirer, I’d put it this way: I, being utterly captivated, find myself drawn to the gripping tale where I, the spectator, witness Ray Winstone breathe life into Bobby Glass, a notorious East End London criminal turned industrial cannabis tycoon.
Meanwhile Theo James plays Edward Horniman – who inherits ‘his father’s sizeable estate only to discover’ it’s a ‘weed empire owned by the legendary Mickey Pearson’ – and Daniel Ings plays his disinherited eldest brother Freddie.
Ray and Theo perform alongside Chanel Cresswell, Joely Richardson, Gaia Weiss, and Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad, each portraying their respective roles. In this production, Giancarlo Esposito takes on the character of a cunning wealthy businessman.
In a simplified manner, Kaya Scodelario portrays Susie Glass, the fashionably chic and resilient daughter of Bobby, who manages the daily operations of her father’s business empire.
In a continuous sequence of unexpected events, a variety of questionable individuals associated with the British criminal network have expressed interest in being involved with Eddie’s business endeavor.
On their social media platforms on Wednesday, Netflix shared exciting news, saying playfully: “Shall we have another round, Captain? The Gentlemen are coming back for Season 2.”

The movie was quite profitable, earning approximately $115 million at the ticket counters while only costing around $22 million to produce.
In the movie adaptation, the character Mickey Pearson, portrayed by Matthew, was a marijuana empire kingpin who sought to transfer ownership of his lucrative operation to a wealthy family dynasty.
