Netflix confirms new Harlan Coben thriller

Netflix has greenlit a new Harlan Coben adaptation titled I Will Find You.

The new series, as reported by Variety, is adapted from the bestselling 2023 novel “Fool Me Once” by its author. This series will consist of eight episodes set to stream online.

The story I Will Find You revolves around a man who is imprisoned for life due to a murder charge involving his son. Despite professing his innocence, he believes his son might still be alive when fresh evidence emerges. In an attempt to uncover the truth, he concocts a plan to escape from prison.

At this moment, no one has been officially assigned as the show’s cast, but Robert Hull takes the lead as the showrunner for the series. Harlan Coben is involved as an executive producer.

I Will Find You will be Coben’s first US scripted show from his creative partnership with Netflix.

Among several upcoming adaptations based on Harlan Coben’s works, fans can eagerly anticipate the release of the thrilling series “Missing You,” set to premiere as a boxset on New Year’s Day in 2025.

The show features Rosalind Eleazar as the main character, while James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage, Lenny Henry, and Ashley Walters from “Top Boy” join her in an exceptional ensemble cast.

Currently, two more Coben series, namely “Caught” and “Run Away,” are being produced, and interestingly, they too are derived from novels penned by the same author.

In the year 2024, the Netflix series titled “Fool Me Once,” featuring Michelle Keegan and Richard Armitage, became a massive hit. It held the top spot as the most-viewed Netflix series so far in that year.

In just its initial 91 days, this gripping show attracted an astounding 98.2 million views, making it the eight highest-viewed Netflix series to date.

You can find other Coben series and movies such as “Stay Close”, “The Stranger”, “The Innocent”, “Safe”, “Gone for Good”, “Hold Tight” and “The Woods” streaming on Netflix at the moment.

As of now, there’s no announced release date for the film “I Will Find You”. However, you can expect to see “Missing You” on Netflix starting from January 1, 2025.
