Positive reviews and debate from military veterans—who questioned how accurately it portrayed events—both contributed to its success. In its second week, Boots reached nearly 10 million views, up from 5 million in its first week. Both critics and viewers gave it a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, particularly praising the lead actors’ performances.
