Netflix announces Victoria Beckham show following success of David Beckham series
As a gamer who has lived through the ’90s and witnessed the rise of pop culture icons, I must say I’m thrilled about Victoria Beckham‘s upcoming documentary series on Netflix. Growing up, I was an avid Spice Girls fan, and now, seeing Posh Spice transform into a successful businesswoman is quite inspiring.
Victoria Beckham has landed her own documentary series over at Netflix.
Last year, the success of David Beckham’s docuseries titled Beckham, which showcased his journey to stardom as one of England’s most revered football players, has led the streaming service to announce a fresh docuseries. This new series will instead focus on Victoria Beckham, former Spice Girl, and her ventures as an entrepreneur.
Excitingly sharing the latest update from Netflix, their official account announced: “We are thrilled to bring you a never-before-seen glimpse into the world of Victoria Beckham with a documentary series now being produced!”
The show will chronicle Victoria’s transformation into the Creative Director of her own label, providing an intimate look at Victoria, her fashion and cosmetics empire, as well as previously unseen collections from her private archives.
In the ’90s, Victoria gained popularity as a band member of the successful girl group Spice Girls. Later, she ventured into high-end fashion design, starting her self-titled label in 2008. More recently, she has expanded her business by introducing a skincare and beauty line in 2019.
As reported by Tudum, the yet-unnamed series is set to delve into the star’s journey under the worldwide limelight, offering an intimate glimpse into her life as she balances her professional and personal commitments.
More information such as who is set to direct the show and when it will be released is still pending.
In David’s documentary series from last year, Victoria was included as well. Her spouse jokingly challenged her credibility about being from a working-class background, given that her father owned a Rolls Royce.
David playfully teased his wife once more, referencing a previous remark he made earlier this year, while posting a picture showing them having a delightful New Year’s Eve lunch with Victoria’s family.
In a playful tone, I jokingly titled my post, “A laid-back New Year’s Eve lunch at The Ritz – oh so common!” My in-laws even departed in their Rolls-Royce. (I hope they didn’t mind blending with the common folk for a bit!)
