Netflix announces new “heart-pounding suspense” thriller from Lost writer
Netflix has announced a new thriller series from Lost writer Carlton Cuse.
The streaming platform is working on a television version of “The Secret of Secrets,” which will be the sixth instalment in Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon literary series. Brown and Cuse are collaborating on this project, as reported by Variety.
Cuse famously served as a writer and showrunner for all six seasons of Lost.
What to Read Next
As an ardent admirer, I’m eagerly anticipating Dan Brown’s latest gripping novel, “The Secrets of Secrets.” In this exhilarating tale, I find myself in the shoes of symbologist Robert Langdon, racing against the clock and mysterious forces to retrieve a missing scientist and her revolutionary manuscript. This discovery, should it be unveiled, could fundamentally transform our comprehension of the human mind forever.
The remake of this series will seamlessly combine advanced science from the future with ancient mysteries, promising the same thrilling suspense and worldwide intrigue that has turned the Langdon tales into a global sensation.
Further details, including when the series will air and who will star, are yet to be announced.
Tom Hanks took on the role of Robert Langdon in film versions based on Brown’s books, such as “The Da Vinci Code” (2006), “Angels & Demons” (2009), and “Inferno” (2016).
Critics universally disapproved of all the movies, with The Da Vinci Code garnering a Rotten Tomatoes rating of merely 25%, Angels & Demons receiving a slightly better 36%, and Inferno managing only a 23% score.
Contrary to the unfavorable opinions expressed by critics, the film “Inferno” raked in an impressive $220 million at the box office, far outweighing its production cost of $75 million.
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the hit show “Lost” has found a new streaming platform in the United Kingdom. Now, enthusiasts can enjoy the complete series on ITVX.
From 2004 to 2010, the award-winning TV show spanned over six seasons, ultimately broadcasting a grand total of 121 episodes.
The story unfolds with those who survived a fatal airplane accident, battling to stay alive on an enigmatic Pacific island.
