NetEase Games has shared new details about its upcoming adventure RPG, ANANTA. The game, created with Naked Rain, is highlighted in a new 7-minute trailer that shows off its anime-style world, how combat works, and what it’s like to explore.

ANANTA, previously called Project MUGEN, is a role-playing game set in a vibrant, anime-inspired open world. The game was renamed ANANTA in November 2024 when sign-ups began, and a closed test was held in China this January.

The game drops you right into the heart of the city with interactive experiences everywhere you look. You could be petting a cat one minute and caught up in a dangerous fight the next. The characters feel incredibly realistic, and everything you do – whether it’s checking someone’s phone or speeding through the streets – has consequences.
