Nepo baby Nico Parker wows in a strapless bandage mini dress at How To Train Your Dragon premiere in NYC
16-year-old Nico Parker, often referred to as a Nepotism baby, dazzled in a Little Black Dress at the How To Train Your Dragon premiere held at SVA Theatre in New York on Wednesday evening.
52-year-old Emmy-winning actress Thandiwe Newton’s daughter, dressed elegantly in a bandage black dress, embodied sophistication at the event, with her father being 56-year-old writer and director Ol Parker.
In the 2010 animated adaptation of the film and its subsequent sequels, Nico portrays Astrid, a character originally shown as a young, fair-haired Viking.
The actress paired her beautiful outfit with large earrings and accentuated her look with fashionable black high-heels.
Nico hit back at critics objecting to her taking on the lead role in How To Train Your Dragon.

Following a backlash from certain fans, who seemed upset that Nico, with Zimbabwean heritage through her mother, didn’t have Astrid’s original blonde hair and blue eyes, she responded to the trolls by criticizing them for their dislike of diversity and expressing that they had an opinion on her hairstyle.
In an interview with The London Times, Nico expressed that there are individuals who hold a deep affection for animated movies and eagerly anticipate a detailed recreation of those films. He hopes that viewers can enjoy the new version, discovering something they appreciate about it, regardless.
Regarding those who dislike inclusivity and change, if that’s their stance, I simply couldn’t be less concerned,” she declared.
If I didn’t generally consider your views important regarding many aspects of life,” and addressing some of the criticism she has faced, “then I wouldn’t be able to regard your opinions about my hairstyle either. If I did, it might drive me crazy.
Nico, who was brought up in London, said seeing other people of colour on screen was useful.
In her younger days, she found there were very few mixed-race or black role models on screen who resonated with her, saying “This feels like me.” She believes this is significantly different, and in a positive way, for today’s young people. This, she considers, is truly remarkable.
As a lifestyle expert, I firmly believe we’re on an exciting journey towards more diverse narratives, particularly for women. While there’s no denying the distance yet to be covered in terms of fresh perspectives, innovative content, and stories led by women, I remain optimistic about the shifting tides. I aspire to play a role in shaping this change someday.
America Ferrera, a Latina actress, provided the voice for Astrid in the 2010 animated film “How to Train Your Dragon,” as well as its 2014 and 2019 sequels.

Nico’s first role was in Disney’s live-action Dumbo, which she said she auditioned for on a whim.
When we arrived on set in 2017, she recalled thinking something like, “I can’t wait to keep doing this forever:” – referring to her 12-year-old self.
Since then she has gone on to star in Reminiscence and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
One particular episode arc within The Last of Us stood out as an exceptional encounter for her, and she showered high compliments on lead actor Pedro Pascal.
“He is truly exceptional, just as extraordinary as you imagine him to be. Filming The Last of Us happened when I was 16 years old, and it was a rather peculiar phase in my life overall. I feel like I joined the project on somewhat unconventional terms. I can’t express enough gratitude that he was there with me.
It is anticipated that How to Train Your Dragon will soar to the summit of the box office once it hits theaters on Friday. This action-packed adventure features Mason Thames, aged 17, in the role of Hiccup, with Gerard Butler returning as Hiccup’s boisterous father Stoick.
She recalled checking out the number of views on the trailer and exclaimed, “This is astonishing!” For those who grew up watching these movies, it seems incredibly intimate to them, she added.
According to predictions by Box Office Pro, the upcoming remake could potentially earn anywhere from 80 million to 100 million dollars in domestic box office sales, given the success of its predecessors.
Universal Pictures has officially confirmed a follow-up to the eagerly awaited box office hit. Upon hearing the disclosed release date, Parker expressed, “Wow, that seems rather quick.
