Neil Patrick Harris unrecognisable as he takes on new role in crime thriller
Neil Patrick Harris has experienced a remarkable change in appearance for his part in the upcoming “Dexter” series titled “Resurrection.
In the upcoming spin-off of the newest franchise, the star assumes the character of Lowell, sharing the screen with Michael C. Hall, reprising his role as the main title’s infamous murderer.
The newly released snapshots show Harris with his fellow actor in New York City, sporting a darker hairstyle and longer locks under a puffy coat.
In addition to Harris, the series Dexter: Resurrection will feature actor Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones, portraying billionaire venture capitalist Leon Prater who conceals a sinister past. On the other hand, Uma Thurman, known for her role in Kill Bill, takes on the character of Charley, Leon’s head of security.
Joining again is Hall, accompanied by David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, and James Remar portraying Dexter’s deceased father Harry Morgan.
Back once more with Hall are David Zayas playing Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s child Harrison Morgan, and James Remar taking on the role of Dexter’s father Harry Morgan who has passed away.
Originally, Dexter aired from 2006 to 2013, and then came the 10-episode continuation series titled New Blood, which broadcasted from 2021 until 2022.
Additionally, the franchise unveiled a prequel titled “Original Sin” that has just finished its initial season.
The show features Patrick Gibson from Shadow and Bone portraying a youthful Dexter, with Christian Slater of Mr Robot, Christina Milian, and Sarah Michelle Gellar from Buffy the Vampire Slayer also starring in it.
Resurrection will be set in the present day and follows on from the events of New Blood.
As a passionate fan, let me tell you, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming series! At San Diego Comic-Con, I had the privilege to hear Hall tease about it, and he hinted that there are some tantalizing twists in store. To a certain extent, I’ve got a sneaking suspicion about what lies ahead, but I can hardly wait to find out for sure!
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel exhilarated at the prospect of diving back into this character’s world again. The thought of having the gaps in my imagination filled with vibrant, Technicolor scenes is nothing short of awe-inspiring!
Dexter: Original Sin is airing on Paramount+.
