Need for Speed Unbound Vol. 09: Lockdown Launches With Most Wanted 2005 BMW and PvPvE Lockdown Mode

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of racing under my belt, I must say that the latest addition to the Need for Speed universe, Vol 09: Lockdown, has truly stirred up some nostalgia. The return of the iconic BMW M3 GTR ’05 from Need for Speed Most Wanted is a trip down memory lane, and it’s just as exhilarating as I remember it to be.

Today, EA and developer Criterion Games have unveiled “Need for Speed Unbound: Vol 09 – Lockdown.” This release showcases a partnership with BMW to incorporate the M3 GTR ’05 from the 2005 version of “Need for Speed Most Wanted” into the game. Additionally, it introduces a new multiplayer mode called Lockdown, where players compete against each other and AI opponents in PvPvE (Player vs Player vs Environment) gameplay.

This game, called Lockdown, caters to teams of five, each containing a maximum of three members. The objective is for your team to evade the Lakeshore Police Department, as the Lockdown Zone continues to expand. Working together, your goal is to accomplish as many assignments (Contracts) as possible and burglarize Lockups to obtain ‘Hot Vehicles’. If you have and make use of an Extraction Truck, you can retain these vehicles by extracting them.

Besides managing the Lockdown antics, Racer X is in possession of the initial motorbike in Need for Speed, specifically the BMW S 1000 RR 2019. If you desire, this bike can be utilized in the latest mode. In addition to this, the Honda Integra Type R and Subaru Impreza WRX STI have been added to Unbound’s roster of vehicles for Volume 09. Furthermore, a new Speed Pass with 45 tiers is introduced.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to be part of the 30-year journey of the iconic Need for Speed series! In this milestone year, we’ve got an exciting addition – the BMW M3 GTR ’05 decked out in a custom NFS 2005 livery, just waiting to be unlocked.
