As a seasoned veteran of the high-octane world of virtual racing, I can confidently say that the latest update for Need for Speed Unbound has me buzzing like a well-tuned engine on nitrous! The return of the iconic Cops vs Racers mode, inspired by the legendary Hot Pursuit, is a dream come true. The addition of new cars such as the Lotus Evija ’23 and the Porsche 959 S ’87 has my heart racing with anticipation.
EA and Criterion Games have unveiled “Need for Speed Unbound” Volume 8: Cops versus Racers, introducing a fresh 4vs4 mode reminiscent of the popular “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit”. This update includes exciting features like Pursuit Tech and Cop Progression, as well as new vehicles to drive.
As a gamer, I get to play with some amazing vehicles, like the iconic Porsche 959 S ’87 and the highly anticipated Lotus Evija ’23, which seems to be a strong contender for the title of “meta-car”. On the other side, the Cops have access to advanced tools such as spike strips, EMPs, and the ESF battering ram. They’ll need to strategize with their team and AI units to successfully apprehend the fleeing Racers.
In your role as a police officer, you can start a journey with opportunities for advancement that unveil nine distinct law enforcement traditions. Meanwhile, a brand-new Vol. 08 Premium Speed Pass offers an array of customization possibilities across 45 levels, enabling you to access various cars, three unique bodykits for the Porsche 959 S, five Scarce Custom editions of both vehicles, and much more.
The eighth volume of “Need for Speed: Unbound,” pitting Cops against Racers, has just been released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, as part of the game’s planned schedule for Year 2.
