Boston Strangler

In the 2023 film, Keira Knightley, portraying Black Doves, and Carrie Coon as a character from The White Lotus, depict real-life journalists. They uncover the horrific Boston Strangler serial murders in the ’60s, all while confronting the sexism prevalent during that era.

Matt Ruskin’s film, as per TIME, was described as both tense and captivating, while The Age commented that the two main actors made for an exceptional duo.

As a devoted gamer, I can’t help but feel thrilled to be sharing the screen with some extraordinary talent! Alessandro Nivola from “The Brutalist”, David Dastmalchian who brought life to “The Suicide Squad”, Morgan Spector from “The Gilded Age”, and Bill Camp known for his role in “The Queen’s Gambit” – it’s an honor to work alongside these exceptional actors.

Terminator: Dark Fate

2019’s follow-up finds Sarah Connor, portrayed by Linda Hamilton, rejoining the Terminator series, with Arnold Schwarzenegger playing the title character, the machine.

2 and a half decades post-“Judgment Day”, it’s up to Connor to prevent a sophisticated Terminator from harming a young girl. In this installment, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Byron Lutz (Hamilton) are joined by Mackenzie Davis and Natalia Reyes in the cast.

Despite the fact that Dark Fate bombed at the box office, it garnered positive reviews from critics. For instance, Digital Spy commented that the movie was so engaging that viewers would find themselves eagerly watching for the entire two hours and eight minutes, cheering on the heroines as they fought to win.

Airing Sunday morning at 12.05am on Channel 4.

Legend

In the 2015 action-packed biography set in London, Tom Hardy portrays both notorious gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray. The film follows their criminal activities during the 1960s and their ultimate incarceration.

The movie titled “Legend” enjoys a good rating of 60% on Rotten Tomatoes. According to _The Observer_, it’s an extravagant, animated production that revels in the strange fame of its characters and is described as a lively, over-the-top spectacle.

Additionally, the film features Emily Browning from “The Affair”, David Thewlis known for “The Sandman”, and Christopher Eccleston, who starred in “Doctor Who”.

Or simply:

Misery

As a dedicated gamer, I’d say: Diving into Stephen King’s ‘Misery’, it’s like stepping into the shoes of a renowned writer who meets an unfortunate accident and ends up in the clutches of a die-hard fanatic of my novels. The peace is soon shattered as a harrowing saga of captivity ensues, leading to a chilling rollercoaster of events that’d make any heart race!

As a devoted cinema enthusiast, I can’t help but express my excitement about Kathy Bates’ remarkable triumph at the Oscars. Her chilling portrayal of Annie Wilkes in the timeless masterpiece that remains a must-watch according to _Nerdspin_, shared the screen with the legendary James Caan from _The Godfather_. What an unforgettable performance!

War for the Planet of the Apes

In the rebooted “Planet of the Apes” saga, I find myself two years after the events of “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” Now, it’s all-out war between humans and apes, and our chimpanzee leader Caesar, played by Andy Serkis, is still leading the charge. Newcomers Woody Harrelson and Steve Zahn have joined the cast, adding fresh faces to this ongoing conflict.

Similarly to its predecessors, War for the Planet of the Apes was well-received, earning a nearly perfect score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. MovieFreak even went so far as to describe it as “one of the standout summer blockbusters in recent years.
