Need a soundtrack for your Halloween party? Check out The Boulet Brothers’ Halloween House Party EP
As a gamer who has dabbled in various genres and eras of music, I find myself utterly captivated by the upcoming release of The Boulet Brothers’ Halloween House Party EP. With an affinity for vintage tunes, I can’t help but be drawn to the tantalizing fusion of 1960s pop, surf rock, and psychobilly, infused with a modern electronica twist.
The Boulet Brothers, with the sixth season of Dragula premiering on Shudder October 1, find themselves on a roll. Yet, they’re not content to bask in this success alone; instead, they have another Halloween-themed project lined up for an early October release as well.
Dracmorta and Swanthula have produced a fresh EP titled “The Boulet Brothers’ Halloween House Party“, ideal for your chilling season entertainment. This album will officially launch on October 4 through PEG Records, with a sneak peek of one track available immediately. To listen to “All Hallows’ Eve” – described as a “tender, loving tribute” to Halloween – just follow the link at the end of this article.
Hearing this takes you back to the ’60s, complete with the occasional pops and scratches reminiscent of an old vinyl record. It’s easy to imagine yourself playing that album while carving a pumpkin, taking a hayride, and throwing a spooktacular Halloween party.
The press release characterizes The Boulet Brothers’ “Halloween House Party” EP as a captivating blend of 1960s pop, surf rock, and psychobilly, augmented with the sparkle of contemporary electronica. Given their fondness for all things vintage Halloween – decorations, music, and more – this new album is a perfect expression of their affection.
The six track EP includes the following songs:
Requiem for Halloween
All Hallows’ Eve
Ghost Train
Nosferatu Beach Party
Trick or Treat
The Vampire Song
Besides the “Dragula” series, The Boulet Brothers have also produced “Dragula: Titans” and “The Boulet Brothers’ Halfway to Halloween TV Special,” which are both available on Shudder for streaming. “Halfway to Halloween” evokes the charm of old-school television variety shows and specials, much like their latest album. Similar to those vintage programs, it welcomes famous horror icons such as Kevin Smith, David Dastmalchian, and Barbara Crampton as guests. It’s a nostalgic treat, so if you haven’t watched it yet, consider doing so during the upcoming Halloween season!
If you’re not yet satisfied with the Boulet Brothers, don’t forget to catch Joe Bob Briggs’s Valentine’s special, “Joe Bob’s Heartbreak Trailer Park“. During this screening of “Black Roses“, the Boulet Brothers make a special appearance.
