Ncuti Gatwa Reveals Doctor Who’s Scariest Monster Has Evolved!

In my humble opinion as a movie reviewer, the ominous return of an adversary who once sent shivers down the Doctor’s spine in “Doctor Who” season 15 has been intriguingly explored by Ncuti Gatwa. The Fifteenth Doctor and the new companion Belinda Chandra, played by Varada Sethu, found themselves on a desolate mining colony alongside a military team in episode 3 titled “The Well.” However, their discovery of the sole survivor sets the stage for an eerie revelation – the planet’s haunting presence and its chilling inhabitant are remnants from the Doctor’s past encounters, harkening back to the terrors of 2008.

This monster I encountered is the most petrifying one yet, as I found Russell’s depiction both terrifyingly eerie and exquisitely vivid. However, the interpretation of the monster remains your own. Reading about it sent chills up my spine! It seems the monster has grown, evolved, and been biding its time to wreak havoc – a continuation of sorts from “Midnight”.

What Gatwa’s Response Reveals About The Midnight Entity

The Creature’s Powers May Surpass Universes

In essence, the Midnight Entity, as seen in season 4 of Doctor Who, has largely kept the traits it had during its initial appearance. Although its main tactic in the episode “Midnight” was a psychological attack on the passengers of the Crusader 50 bus, making them feel fear and lose their minds, the storyline also revealed that it possesses a physical form and can exert incredible force – as shown when it effortlessly tore apart the cockpit of the vehicle. These physical aspects, such as the brief glimpses of the creature behind Aliss (Rose Ayling-Ellis) and its destructive power against the team of soldiers, are remnants from the original narrative.

In an unexpected twist, it turns out that one entity was able to sneak aboard the team’s spaceship despite Shaya (Caolfhionn Dunne) sacrificing herself as the host. This entity apparently escaped the planet, posing a terrifying threat. To make matters worse, this Doctor Who creature seems to have the power to remember knowledge from its past victims, such as the Doctor’s true name. If it can indeed access information across realities, as suggested by events in “The Well,” then this could be a game-changer. We don’t yet know all of its abilities, but they could potentially be incredibly dangerous.

Our Thoughts On Doctor Who Season 15’s Midnight Entity Return

The Episode Has A Bleak Omen For The Universe In Its Conclusion

While opinions on the sudden “Midnight” sequel among some viewers might differ, Doctor Who season 15 has undoubtedly maintained the intrigue surrounding the enigmatic villain. Even after its second appearance, the Midnight Entity remains a mystery, leaving the Doctor puzzled about its nature. This adds to the genuine terror it evokes. Moreover, with one of these entities now off-world, the entire Doctor Who universe could potentially face the brunt of this deadly creature’s wrath.
