NCSOFT has announced its upcoming MMORPG, Horizon Steel Frontiers, which will be available on Android, iOS, and PC. Created in partnership with Sony’s Guerrilla Games, this is the first MMORPG set in the Horizon universe. It was revealed at G-Star 2025, and a release date will be announced soon.

Prepare to step into the Deadlands and hunt down colossal machines with other players

Horizon Steel Frontiers is a massive online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in the popular Horizon universe. Players will explore the dangerous lands known as the Deadlands, hunting machines as they do in the original Horizon games. It combines the exciting action of those hunts with the features you’d expect from an MMORPG, and there’s a lot of anticipation for its release.

In this game, you take on the role of a hunter, teaming up with others to defeat giant machines or competing against other players. You can choose from several tribes – like the Nora, Tenakth, Utaru, and Oseram – to build and customize your own unique character, and then share it with the community.

Players can experience new, dynamic combat and massive battles

I’ve only played Horizon Zero Dawn and LEGO Horizon Adventures so far, and I’m really excited to try this new survival game. It’s set in a huge open world based on the landscapes of Arizona and New Mexico. The combat looks great too – according to Sung-Gu Lee, Executive Producer at NCSOFT, they’ve added some new and interesting ways to defeat the giant machines in the game.

The game looks incredibly promising based on the trailer, boasting beautiful graphics, flexible combat, massive battles, and a lot of player choice. Plus, it will support cross-platform play. Guerrilla Games Studio Director Jan-Bart van Beek shared his enthusiasm, saying they were already enjoying playing Horizon Steel Frontiers together at the office and finding it a fantastic experience.

Horizon Steel Frontiers is coming to Android, iOS, and PC soon! The developers will share the official launch date shortly, so keep an eye out for more news.
