NBA 2K25's Revamped The City Showcased in New Trailers, Pre-Orders Offer Tip-Off Two Days Early

As a seasoned gamer with years of basketball simulation under my belt, I am beyond excited for NBA 2K25! The redesign of The City based on community feedback is a game-changer, and I can’t wait to immerse myself in this revamped interactive hub.

2K unveiled a fresh trailer and Courtside Report video for the upcoming NBA 2K25, highlighting improvements in The City and the enhancements being made to the upgraded interactive center on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

According to Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at Visual Concepts, the city in NBA 2K25 has been reimagined, prioritizing community input. They’ve constructed a brand-new city that is remarkably smaller and easier to navigate, resurrected cherished fan experiences from the past, and designed fresh competition modes suitable for players of all abilities.

Boenisch mentions that NBA 2K25’s version of The City will emphasize basketball more and offer a smoother transition into gameplay, suggesting less wandering aimlessly. The City is a bustling district located on the ‘Stars Boulevard’, offering a colossal Proving Grounds arena, a revival of MyCourt, and the reintroduction of MyParks since NBA 2K15.

The City is home to several exciting events such as the revamped Pro-AM, REC, and Ante-Up, along with a Walk of Fame honoring great players from the past. In MyCareer, you can challenge your friends in 1v1, 3v3 games, HORSE, and various other game modes. Additionally, you can embark on Quests and reap Season rewards within the customizable MyCourt, which you can personalize by adding wall mural artwork.

HoloHelp Info kiosks will also be dotted around The City, offering pointers for beginners, while an easier difficulty can be found at the Casual Courts and the ELITE & RISE parks – perfect for getting to grips with the basics and honing your skills on the hardwood. There are changes to MyTeam and The W, too, all of which you can check out in the trailers below.

The video game titled NBA 2K25 is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on the 6th of September. If you pre-order the game, you’ll gain early access starting from the 4th of September, a benefit known as Early Tip-Off. For more information about the story mode, MyCareer, or the management aspect, MyNBA, you can check out their respective pages.
