NAVI wins StarSeries Fall 2025, earns easy $200,000

Na’Vi hasn’t been performing well lately in major CS2 tournaments, so winning this feels great. However, out of all the teams at StarSeries Fall 2025, only one really gave them a good match.

The competitive schedule for Counter-Strike 2 has become crowded, with two major tournaments happening at the same time. Several leading teams are choosing to rest and prepare for even bigger events instead of participating in both. NAVI emerged victorious at StarSeries Fall 2025, while many other top-tier teams were competing at FISSURE Playground #2.

StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025 offered a $500,000 prize pool, with the winning team receiving $200,000. Notably, only Ninjas in Pyjamas joined NAVI among the top-tier teams competing in the event.

This tournament offered Natus Vincere a valuable opportunity to improve their teamwork, as the team had been struggling with coordination following their Major win.

Beating smaller kids on the block: NAVI dominates StarSeries Fall 2025

This CS2 esports event featured eight teams, but many viewers likely aren’t familiar with them. While some are backed by well-known organizations, most haven’t had much success in Counter-Strike specifically.

NAVI had an unexpected start, losing the first map, Ancient, to 9INE with a score of 8-13. After that, however, they played flawlessly, winning every subsequent map and ultimately securing the victory.

Ninjas in Pyjamas could also have been a strong competitor at StarSeries Fall 2025, but their chances really depended on NAVI struggling with teamwork. NiP hadn’t performed exceptionally well recently, finishing between 9th and 12th at IEM Cologne 2025 and 5th to 8th at PGL Astana 2025.

Ninjas in Pyjamas had an easy run, defeating several weaker opponents before facing NAVI in both the winners’ match and the championship final. However, they lost every map they played against NAVI.

The fans are happy, but they want more!

NAVI is currently facing some serious challenges. After a disappointing 3rd-4th place finish at IEM Cologne 2025, they lost their first match at the CS2 Esports World Cup 2025, and subsequently failed to qualify for the main stages of both BLAST Bounty Fall and BLAST Open Fall.

NAVI recently added a new player to their team. Drin “makazze” Shaqiri joined in July, taking the place of Justinas “jL” Lekavičius.

Any initial adjustment period for the team should be finished by now. While winning StarSeries Fall 2025 is encouraging, fans are hoping to see consistently strong performances against teams like Vitality and MOUZ.

The power of smaller CS2 teams

Honestly, you shouldn’t sleep on those smaller CS2 teams. I’ve seen so many players come out of nowhere from those orgs and become huge stars on the really big teams. They’ve got serious potential, and it’s awesome to watch them grow!

B8 had a strong showing at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, making it to Stage 2 and even winning against Team Falcons before being knocked out of the competition.

Overlapping tournaments

People began discussing this problem when the 2025 schedule for competitive Counter-Strike 2 was created at the beginning of the season. Because there are so many tournaments, it’s understandable why top teams choose to miss some, even if the prizes are as high as $500,000.

To put things in perspective, ESL Pro League Season 22 offered a $400,000 prize pool and featured all the top CS2 teams. BLAST Open Fall 2025 had a prize pool of $330,000.

Things reached a point where two major tournaments, both with $500,000 prize pools, were happening simultaneously. Teams like The MongolZ, G2, and Falcons decided to compete in FISSURE Playground #2, while NAVI opted for StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025.

StarLadder is back in the CS2 world with an even larger tournament than before! From November 24th to December 7th, they’ll be hosting the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, and all the top professional teams are expected to compete.
