As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of television, I must say, this year’s National Television Awards (NTA) lineup is nothing short of spectacular! The drama performance category, with its dark comedy thriller “Baby Reindeer,” promises a riveting spectacle, especially with Claudia Winkleman’s stellar portrayal of Martha Scott.

At the 2024 National Television Awards held at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday, Rochelle Humes and her husband Marvin appeared to be a picture of happiness and affection, embodying a deeply in love couple.

On the dazzling red carpet, the television personality aged 35 and the 39-year-old musician shared affectionate moments, posing for a sequence of captivating photographs that showcased their public display of affection.

Rochelle ensured to catch everyone’s attention in a glamorous dark green gown.

The top without straps showcased a striking yellow accent along its collar, subtly highlighting her generous bosom area.

The stunning gown featured a rigid upper section at the bust and waist, culminating in a delicate, see-through train that elegantly displayed a tantalizing thigh-high slit.

In my expert opinion, I’ve elevated my casual TV-watching attire by adding a chic pair of pointy heels and adorned myself with eye-catching green earrings and stylish gold bracelets.

Meanwhile Marvin cut a suave figure in a grey suit co-ord teamed with a black shirt.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, showed their joyous mood before the award function commenced, with them being seen chuckling and laughing merrily on the red carpet.

This year, the National Television Awards will be held at their customary venue, The O2 in London, Peninsula Square, and will air live starting at 8 pm on ITV.

The NTAs have been at the O2 every year since 2010, with the exception of the rescheduled 2022 bash in Wembley.

Comedian Joel Dommett will host the awards ceremony for the fourth time.

This year, for the first time, Jungle King Sam Thompson and his companion Pete Wicks will be making their debut on the red carpet as presenters.

There have been whispers that Holly Willoughby might reappear on British television, joining Joel’s hosting crew.

The ex-host of This Morning, who is 43 years old, appears poised to work alongside her former colleagues again, having left the morning program in October after a 14-year stint as co-presenter.

Her exit occurred after it was revealed that security guard Gavin Plumb had conspired to kidnap and murder her, an act for which he has now been imprisoned.

It’s quite surprising that the new hosts of This Morning, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, were not nominated in the Best TV Presenter category at this year’s National Television Awards.

Although the program they star in has been nominated for a Daytime award, Cat (aged 47) and Ben (aged 49), unfortunately did not receive an award – even though they were recruited by ITV executives in March following the departure of Holly and Phillip Schofield from the show.

In a repeat performance that delighted fans, Alison Hammond, aged 49, has earned another nomination for Best TV Presenter, effectively knocking her competitors out of the running.

Last year, This Morning missed out on the Best Daytime TV award for the first time in 12 years.

In the TV presenter category, Alison finds herself competing alongside Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman, Stacey Solomon, as well as the long-standing winners Ant and Dec, who have dominated this category for a remarkable 22 years.

In another event, Michelle Keegan achieved a remarkable feat by winning three awards, with one of them being a nomination for Best Drama Performance in her groundbreaking show, Fool Me Once.

In January, an actress from Coronation Street led the Netflix version of Harlan Coben’s mystery novel as its main character.

Michelle’s performance as the grieving military spouse, Maya Stern, has been recognized. In the storyline, she believes she sees her late husband on a surveillance camera in her house while he was supposed to be dead due to his murder.

The series has also received a nomination in the New Drama category, while Brassic – in which Michelle plays Erin Croft – has been nominated for Best Comedy.

The movie “Fool Me Once” turned out to be one of Netflix’s most-watched productions, boasting more than 100 million views, which significantly propelled Michelle’s acting career forward.

Previously, the actor from the soap opera has received nominations for four National Television Awards (NTAs). Three of these were for his roles in Coronation Street, while one was for his performance in BBC’s Our Girl.

Additionally, Toby Jones earns recognition in the Drama Performance section for portraying the character of former subpostmaster Sir Alan Bates, who is among over 550 individuals suing the Post Office.

The ITV drama will face tough competition from Netflix hit Baby Reindeer, romantic drama One Day and Fool Me Once and Red Eye for the prize.

In the meantime, Jones will face off against actress Jessica Gunning, who has also been nominated for the award for best drama performance. This recognition is for her portrayal of Martha Scott in the dark comedy thriller Baby Reindeer. In this production, her character, Martha, pursues comedian Donny Dunn after he invites her for a complimentary cup of tea at the pub where he works.

Despite Claudia Winkleman, who’s also recognized for her work on The Traitors (a reality competition nominee), being classified as a TV presenter, she will face stiff competition from contenders such as Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, Stacey Solomon, and the long-standing champions Ant and Dec.

The Geordie Duo have won the award 22 times now, and they’ll be chasing their record 23rd victory.

Additionally, they might secure a victory in the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award category since Saturday Night Takeaway is competing against their own show, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, as well as The Graham Norton Show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, and The Masked Singer.

In the Reality Competition Category, The Traitors is being joined by shows such as The Apprentice, Celebrity Big Brother, Love Island, and Race Across The World.

Over yonder, within the realm of Serial Dramas, it’s me, a die-hard fan, whooping it up for Peter Ash! He’s been recognized in the Performance category, all thanks to his exceptional portrayal of Paul Foreman. This character has been fighting a heartrending war against Motor Neurone Disease, and boy, has he made us all emotional spectators!

He is set to compete against Angela Wynter from EastEnders, David Neilson from Coronation Street, Diane Parish also from EastEnders, and Eden Taylor-Draper of Emmerdale.

David Beckham, a former England football captain, and renowned pop star Robbie Williams are among those nominated in the Authored Documentary category at the NTAs, alongside actress Rose Ayling-Ellis who has a documentary about deaf community perceptions to her name. Additionally, comedian Rhod Gilbert is also on the list for his docuseries focusing on his cancer treatment journey.

The upcoming shows will compete directly against Kate Garraway, who is a three-time nominee in the Authored Documentary category for “Derek’s Story.” This documentary chronicled the last year of her deceased husband’s life, ending in his passing in January.

With more masters of their crafts on TV than ever before, the NTAs is reintroducing the Expert category.

This year, I’m beyond thrilled to announce that my beloved judge, Anton Du Beke, has been nominated for an award! It’s a special milestone as our cherished celebrity dance show commemorates its 20th anniversary. Incredibly, his three esteemed colleagues have also made the longlist for the award. I can hardly contain my excitement!

It seems the dance performance is gradually moving past a series of controversies that have enveloped it in the last few months.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must share some recent developments in the world of dance that have caused quite a stir. In the upcoming 20th series, allegations of inappropriate conduct have been levied against professional dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice, by their celebrity partners. The investigation into these matters concerning Giovanni is nearing its conclusion, with a verdict expected to be announced soon.

Despite initial concerns that the new series might struggle due to recent controversies, it seems that Strictly is gradually overcoming its scandals.

The show has been nominated in the Talent Show category and Anton received an Expert nod.
