National Television Awards 2024: Helen George puts on a VERY racy display in a busty black mini dress

As someone who has spent countless hours glued to the small screen, I must say that this year’s National Television Awards (NTA) lineup is more tantalizing than a freshly baked fruitcake at Christmas! With a smorgasbord of talent vying for recognition in various categories, it seems like the TV gods have truly outdone themselves this time.

2024 saw me, a devoted admirer, utterly captivated by none other than Helen George gracing the glamorous 2024 National Television Awards held at London’s iconic O2 Arena. She stole the spotlight in a tantalizing little black dress that had everyone taking notice, leaving me completely smitten!

In a striking, strapless gown adorned with sparkling silver floral patterns and a deep-cut, heart-shaped neckline, the beloved star of Call The Midwife showcased her graceful silhouette.

For the event, the elegant gown was paired with sleek black heels, and only a few accessories were used to maintain simplicity.

The actress donned a striking makeup featuring a soft blush lipstick, radiantly illuminated by the spotlight, while offering a smile to the camera and capturing everyone’s gaze.

2021’s National Television Awards will be held, as always, at The O2 in London, Peninsula Square, and will air live starting at 8pm on ITV.

Since 2010, the NTAs (National Television Awards) have consistently taken place annually at the O2, except for the 2022 event, which was postponed and held at Wembley instead.

Comedian Joel Dommett will host the awards ceremony for the fourth time.

This year, for the first time, Jungle King Sam Thompson along with his companion Pete Wicks will be hosting from the red carpet.

It has been speculated that Holly Willoughby might reappear on British TV screens, joining Joel’s presenting crew.

The ex-host of This Morning, aged 43, appears poised for a reunion with her former colleagues following her departure from the daytime program in October, after spending 14 years as co-host.

After it was discovered that security guard Gavin Plumb had concocted a plan to kidnap and murder her, her decision to leave ensued, leading to his subsequent imprisonment due to this plot.

It’s intriguing to note that the replacement presenters of Holly on “This Morning,” Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, were not nominated in the Best TV Presenter category at the National Television Awards.

Although the program has been nominated in the Daytime awards, Cat, aged 47, and Ben, aged 49, narrowly failed to win – even though they were recruited by ITV executives in March following the departure of Holly and Philip Schofield from the show.

In a repeat win, Alison Hammond, the beloved co-host, aged 49, has clinched another nomination for the Best TV Presenter category, effectively knocking others out of contention.

Last year, This Morning missed out on the Best Daytime TV award for the first time in 12 years.

In the TV presenter category, Alison finds herself competing alongside Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman, Stacey Solomon, as well as the long-standing winners Ant and Dec, who have triumphed in this field for 22 consecutive years.

In another event, Michelle Keegan achieved a remarkable feat by winning three awards, one of which was a nomination for Best Drama Performance in the critically acclaimed show Fool Me Once.

In January, the actress from Coronation Street led the Netflix version of Harlan Coben’s mystery novel. (Or) In January, the actress known for her role on Coronation Street starred as the lead in the Netflix adaptation of Harlan Coben’s mystery novel.

Michelle was recognized for her exceptional portrayal of the character Maya Stern, a military wife mourning the loss of her slain husband. A shocking moment occurs when she catches sight of him on a surveillance camera within her residence.

The series has also received a nomination in the New Drama category, while Brassic – in which Michelle plays Erin Croft – has been nominated for Best Comedy.

Fool Me Once became one of Netflix’s biggest ever hits with over 100million views – and kicked Michelle’s drama career into gear.

Previously, the actor from the soap opera has received nominations for four National Television Awards. Three of these nominations were for his roles in Coronation Street, while the other was for BBC’s Our Girl.

In addition to being recognized, Toby Jones is nominated in the Drama Performance category for portraying the character of former subpostmaster Sir Alan Bates. This role is among over 550 individuals who have taken legal action against the Post Office.

The ITV drama will face tough competition from Netflix hit Baby Reindeer, romantic drama One Day and Fool Me Once and Red Eye for the prize.

In the meantime, Jones will face off with actress Jessica Gunning, who has also been nominated for the award for Best Dramatic Performance, for her portrayal of Martha Scott in the dark comedy thriller Baby Reindeer. Her character, Martha, pursues comedian Donny Dunn after he gives her a complimentary cup of tea at the pub where he works.

Although Claudia Winkleman, who’s also known for her show “The Traitors” (nominated in the Reality Competition category), is categorized as a TV presenter, she faces a formidable competition from figures such as Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, Stacey Solomon, and long-standing victors Ant and Dec.

The Geordie Duo have won the award 22 times now, and they’ll be chasing their record 23rd victory.

In addition to potentially winning the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, Saturday Night Takeaway is competing against other shows such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, The Graham Norton Show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, and The Masked Singer. So, it has a chance to come out on top in this category.

Among the popular reality shows falling under the Reality Competition Category at BBC are The Apprentice, Celebrity Big Brother, Love Island, Race Across The World, and The Traitors.

In the “Serial Drama Performance” category elsewhere, Peter Ash from Coronation Street receives a nomination for portraying Paul Foreman, a character who bravely fought against Motor Neurone Disease.

I’m absolutely thrilled to find myself going head-to-head with some television heavyweights! It’s a dream come true for me as an ardent fan to be in the same league as Angela Wynter from EastEnders, David Neilson from Coronation Street, Diane Parish also from EastEnders, and Eden Taylor-Draper from Emmerdale. What a lineup! I can hardly contain my excitement!

David Beckham, a former football captain of England, along with renowned pop star Robbie Williams, are among those nominated in the Authored Documentary category for their Netflix series, as is actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, whose documentary delves into attitudes towards the deaf community, and comedian Rhod Gilbert, who received a nomination for his work that details his journey through cancer treatment.

In the upcoming competition, Kate Garraway (who was previously nominated three times in the Authored Documentary category) will be facing off with our shows. Her documentary, “Derek’s Story,” chronicled the last year of her late husband’s life until his passing in January.

Due to an increase in skilled professionals showcasing their talents on television, the National Television Awards (NTA) is reviving the “Expert” category.

This year, popular judge Anton Du Beke is a contender for an honor, as the celebrities’ dance competition marks its 20-year milestone – his three fellow judges have also been nominated for this accolade.

It seems like the dance performance is now starting to recover, having been wrapped up in several scandals over the past few months.

Disorder erupted in the forthcoming 20th edition as dance professionals Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice faced allegations of mistreatment from their famous counterparts. A decision regarding an investigation into Pernice’s conduct is anticipated soon.

Initially, concerns arose that the upcoming Strictly series might struggle due to recent controversies. However, it seems that Strictly is gradually moving past these scandals now.

The show has been nominated in the Talent Show category and Anton received an Expert nod.
