Natan Levy says life in Israel prepared him for ‘The Ultimate Self-Defense Championship’
As a gamer with a keen interest in martial arts and reality shows, I am thrilled about the upcoming season 2 of “The Ultimate Self-Defense Championship” featuring UFC fighter Natan Levy. His unique blend of combat skills honed from his martial arts background and life experiences in Israel makes him an intriguing contestant to watch.
UFC athlete Natan Levy is set to feature in the second season of “The Ultimate Self-Defense Competition“, premiering on YouTube this coming Sunday, September 8th. This reality show puts contestants through various tests to evaluate their self-defense and survival abilities.
As a devoted gamer, I caught the first season and shared my thoughts on some intriguing challenges. Then, out of the blue, someone extended an invitation to me – joining the cast for season two! Armed with my martial arts expertise, I felt ready, but growing up in Israel gave me an additional edge, shaping me for this unique experience.
On the program, I found that my time in Israel provided me with the necessary experiences, as Israel can be quite challenging due to its ongoing conflicts. Sometimes you need to be prepared to protect yourself or stay alert, watching out for anything suspicious. There might even be warnings about potential attacks. It’s not like walking down a street with headphones on and focused on your phone; instead, you must pay attention to your surroundings and remain vigilant. In many ways, living in Israel helped me prepare for the various challenges I faced on this show.
In the second season, Jesse Enkamp, Ranton, Jeff Chan, Rokas Leo, Jeff Phillips, Craig Hunter, and Jordan Preisinger will join him, and fresh episodes are scheduled to release every Sunday. For those who might not be familiar with the series’ structure, you can watch all of the first season for free on YouTube at this moment.
Levy stated that he feels privileged to be representing Israel in the contest, and he consistently takes pride in doing so, acknowledging that it sometimes brings additional pressure, but he finds that acceptable.
Regrettably, at present, Israel finds itself engaged in a dispute with Palestine, and this prolonged conflict occasionally escalates into cyber hostility, particularly due to Levy’s high profile. Although he acknowledges an uptick in online harassment recently, it’s not a matter he devotes significant time to addressing.
He said, “I’m not sure I’d use the term ‘fans,’ but it seems clear enough. They can be rather brutal, yet I don’t let it bother me too much. There’s a lot of criticism out there, but also a lot of support. I focus on the positive and appreciate that when I step into the ring, whether I win or lose, my fans value my determination to fight. So, while some people may post negative comments online, they’re actually helping me gain popularity and earn money by sharing my fights.
After a recent defeat at UFC Vegas 88, Levy is gearing up to step back into the Octagon once more. Check out the video preview of the upcoming event below.
