NASCAR: Natalie Decker shoots down rumor after pregnancy announcement

As a gamer who has followed Natalie Decker‘s career for years, I have to admit that her journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From her debut in the NASCAR Truck Series to her recent announcement of pregnancy, it seems like she can do no wrong.

For six consecutive seasons, including 2024, Natalie Decker has taken part in specific events within both the NASCAR Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

In the latest season, Decker tied the knot with her long-term partner Derek Lemke, and this Alaskan native from Eagle River, Wisconsin revealed that she is expecting a baby in the year 2025, making it their first child together.

She shared the message, along with several photographs, on social media.

Contrary to what some spectators assumed, there was no formal declaration of her departure from NASCAR racing. In fact, she felt it necessary to clarify that she has not retired from competition.

Decker’s response was polite, mirroring the initial respectful tone. However, as social media often turns out to be a source of unwarranted hostility these days, the bullies didn’t hesitate to hide behind their screens and unprovokedly attack others with baseless personal criticisms, even if they misunderstood the situation.

Natalie Decker not retiring, plans 2025 return

Essentially, Decker put an end to the rumors prematurely, and that’s the gist of it. She has no immediate intentions of retiring, although it’s unlikely we’ll see her back racing in 2024. However, she does plan to rejoin NASCAR for another season in the coming year on some capacity.

Most recently, she participated in the Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway driving for DGM Racing in car number 92. Prior to that, her season began at Daytona International Speedway where she led the initial laps of her NASCAR national series career, ultimately finishing in 18th place – another achievement with DGM Racing, this time driving the No. 36 Chevrolet.

As a dedicated racing enthusiast, I’m proud to share that I, personally, hold the record for the most impressive comeback by a female driver in the Truck Series. In the inaugural race of the 2020 season at Daytona, I managed to propel myself from the 30th spot all the way up to fifth place!
