NASCAR Games Set to Be Delisted From Digital Storefronts at the End of the Month
As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours behind the virtual wheel of NASCAR games, this news hits me like a sudden pit stop on the last lap. I’ve raced through tracks, climbed leaderboards, and experienced the thrill of the checkered flag, all thanks to these games. The thought of losing access to them is as unsettling as a flat tire during a rainstorm.
MotorSport Games has declared that their NASCAR video games will no longer be available for purchase through online marketplaces by the end of this year. Any downloadable content related to these games is also being removed. This decision comes after the NASCAR license was purchased by iRacing.
Starting from December 31, 2024, you won’t be able to buy any NASCAR game titles or their additional content on any digital platforms. However, you can still play them after this date,” the company shared via Twitter/X. “This includes the NASCAR Heat, NASCAR Rivals, and NASCAR Ignition series.
Throughout September, you’ll find numerous discounts on approximately 15 NASCAR games that are soon to be removed. This means you can buy any NASCAR titles you like at a reduced price before they get delisted. Motorsport Games expresses their gratitude to the community for the years of enthusiasm and support, and hopes everyone has enjoyed racing with them.
In the meantime, the upcoming game “NASCAR 25” is scheduled for release on consoles and PCs next year. So, if you’re unable to grab any of the discontinued games currently, there’s still something exciting to anticipate!
