Among the series of events in the Round of 12, Kansas Speedway stands alone as the intermediate track. Unlike their visit to Kansas in May where racing was an individual event, the current second round has been transformed into a team-based format due to a rule adjustment in June. This means that achieving the second fastest speed during qualifying no longer automatically secures a starting position at the front of the grid.
