On Friday, Naomi Campbell elegantly embodied a striking striped outfit while commemorating her dearly departed friend Franca Sozzani in Italy.

Walking with a bunch of flowers in Portofino, she shared with journalists that she was honoring the memory of the late Italian Vogue editor who passed away in 2016 at the age of 66.

Consequently, due to the discovery of severe mishandling of funds within Fashion for Relief, a charitable organization that Naomi herself established, she was barred from serving as a trustee for a period of five years.

This involved allocating charitable funds towards covering the costs of her luxury accommodation at a five-star hotel in Cannes, France, as well as spa sessions, room service deliveries, and cigarettes.

Among the charity’s three trustees, she was the one who was found unfit for duty following an investigation by the Charity Commission, which oversees charities in both England and Wales.

Additionally, they reported discovering instances of questionable or poor financial management related to fundraising activities among the charity’s board members.

This encompassed a 14,800 euro (approximately £12,300) airfare from London to Nice, used for transporting artwork and jewelry to a charitable event in Cannes, back in the year 2018.

As a die-hard admirer, I couldn’t help but ponder over the choice that led to shelling out approximately 9,400 euros (equivalent to £7,800) from charitable resources towards a luxurious three-night sojourn at a five-star hotel for the remarkable Naomi.

Previously, the supermodel admitted that she may not have fulfilled her responsibilities effectively as a trustee, and possibly didn’t participate enough in the daily activities of the charity.

However, she asserted that she hadn’t been involved in any financial wrongdoing or mismanaged the charity throughout its challenging nine-year period.
