Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss’s Sunday Roasts: A Taste of Home in New York
In just four short months into her modeling career, Naomi Campbell secured her first magazine cover with i-D.
A historic periodical, once facing difficulties, has recently been acquired by supermodel Karlie Kloss. It’s now been reintroduced as a biannual printed edition, and fashion icon Naomi is gracing its cover once more.
The magazine features an interview with her conducted by acquaintances such as model Kate Moss, filmmaker Steve McQueen, and actor Colman Domingo.
She and Moss often recall their shared memories of cooking Sunday roasts in New York during the 1990s, with Naomi expressing: “Kate, those Sunday meals were absolutely perfect – a small piece of home for us, especially when we were constantly traveling, living out of our suitcases. Nowadays, I enjoy preparing Cornish hens with sage and onion breadcrumb stuffing, accompanied by Yorkshire pudding.

‘But nothing beats a proper British Sunday roast.
In older times, when we went on trips and had our own kitchen, we would prepare meals together. Those shared Sunday meals helped us feel close to home.
Will playing Simone de Beauvoir’s lover finally net Bradley Cooper the Oscar he covets?
Bradley Cooper, nominated for an Oscar for his role as Leonard Bernstein in “Maestro,” is set to take on another biographical project for his next prominent role – depicting the hard-edged love interest of renowned French author Simone de Beauvoir.
For seventeen years, the distinguished American writer Nelson Algren was embroiled in a tumultuous romantic relationship with Simone de Beauvoir, who is renowned for being the companion of philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre. During this time, she penned her seminal work, The Second Sex.
At the age of 39, Algren helped her experience her first orgasm, and their romantic relationship was profound enough that despite being laid to rest beside Sartre in Paris, she continued to wear Algren’s ring.
The movie is penned by Sir Christopher Hampton, with renowned French actress Elsa Zylberstein portraying de Beauvoir in it.
50-year-old Cooper, in a relationship with model Gigi Hadid, is at present working on the production of “Is This Thing On?”, a dramatic series featuring Laura Dern that revolves around a comedian and his struggling marriage.
In an unexpected turn of events, I found myself making a special appearance on the latest season of the popular TV series, The Righteous Gemstones. This captivating show revolves around a family of televangelists, who, as it turns out, have quite a few secrets hidden beneath their pious facade.
In the meantime, the draft for the unnamed biographical movie is being prepared, and it’s anticipated that shooting could begin as soon as this summer.
Five times has Cooper been nominated for an acting Oscar, with films like A Star Is Born, American Hustle, and Silver Linings Playbook among those recognized. However, so far, he hasn’t taken home the award. Maybe the character of Algren, a charming ex-soldier who earned his living through writing and poker playing, will bring him long-awaited success.

Algren penned stories concerning the destitute and oppressed. This work garnered him significant critical praise, as well as the respect of Ernest Hemingway.
He and de Beauvoir met when she was on a trip to the US in 1947.
In the summer months, they would often be found at his lakefront home in Miller Beach, Indiana. Additionally, they embarked on a journey to South America during the year of 1949. However, in her book titled “The Mandarins,” she chose to represent him as the character ‘Lewis Brogan.’
However, with her rising fame and achievements, he slipped further into obscurity. The growing geographical gap between them proved problematic, especially since Algren was under FBI scrutiny for suspected subversion, making it difficult for him to obtain a passport.
With each passing day, she shone brighter in the spotlight and tasted success, whereas he faded into anonymity. The increasing distance between them became a hurdle, given that Algren was under FBI investigation for possible subversive activities which made it challenging for him to secure a passport.
In the end, neither lover considered leaving their respective hometowns, Paris and Chicago, so the long-distance relationship that stretched between them eventually fizzled out.
The movie was penned utilizing a collection of love letters from de Beauvoir to Algren, these letters were later auctioned off by her descendants.
Actress Zylberstein expressed surprise at the stunning beauty of these letters, and the unforeseen relationship that began when Simone de Beauvoir visited Chicago for a span of two days.
Instead of portraying Simone de Beauvoir as purely an austere intellectual, it’s essential to emphasize her passionate and daring nature. This extraordinary woman had the unique experience of being deeply in love with not just one man, but two: Jean-Paul Sartre and Nelson Algren.

A family falling apart, in one long, unflinching take
Following the acclaimed success of “Boiling Point”, a movie filmed in a single continuous shot that portrayed the pandemonium in a restaurant’s kitchen during a frenzied evening, its leading actor, Stephen Graham, was invited to devise a project with a comparable concept.
The result – stunning miniseries Adolescence – is streaming now on Netflix.
In a more simplified manner, the characters are as follows: Graham portrays everyday father figure Eddie Miller, while the relatively unknown actor Owen Cooper plays his son, Jamie, who is involved in a tragic incident where he allegedly takes a girl’s life.
Instead, the spotlight shifts towards the perpetrator and his immediate circle, highlighting the far-reaching impact of figures like Andrew Tate.
The actor from Liverpool shared his source of motivation. “I had come across an event in a newspaper where a young boy murdered a young girl, and later on television, another story surfaced about a different young boy killing a young girl. Though they lived at opposite ends of the country, it truly saddened me deeply.
I find myself pondering: What seems to be the state of contemporary society that allows such actions by a young boy, and it’s not an isolated event?

Jack Thorne penned the script, and the actors practiced extensively prior to recording a single take per episode, each attempt being unique for that particular installment.
15-year-old Cooper was selected out of 500 boys who submitted audition videos for the part of Jamie. He shared, “I sent the video without much hope of a response. Then, a month later, I received a callback in Manchester from producer Phil Barantini. Things started moving quickly after that.
He mentioned that the third episode scene where he needed to terrify his psychiatrist character (portrayed by Erin Doherty) was challenging for him. “I found myself needing to get really close to her and make her scared. At first, during rehearsals, I wasn’t able to do it, but we had two weeks to work on it, and by the end, I was comfortable with it.
Graham explained about the series: ‘Our goal was to avoid stereotypes… We aimed for a father figure who wouldn’t resort to violence, and a mother who wasn’t dependent on alcohol. The character Jamie hasn’t experienced physical, emotional, or sexual abuse by any family member.’
And that’s why we need a babysitter…
Sam Taylor-Johnson, who met her spouse Aaron while working on the movie Nowhere Boy, expresses a desire to collaborate with him once more in the near future.

At an A Rabbit’s Foot magazine event held on Wednesday evening, she remarked that it felt strange to step out of the house, realizing, ‘I’ve left my top performer behind.’
She mentioned: “It’s an outstanding teamwork experience, where our familiarity is unmatched and collaboration feels effortless. However, we are parents of four, making things a bit complex.
‘If his parents are free to babysit then we can make another film together.’
Richard E Grant on feeling frisky
Richard E. Grant displayed a lively spirit during his visit to Austin, Texas, as he showcased his latest horror film, “Death of a Unicorn,” at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival.
With fellow stars Tea Leoni and Jenna Ortega, he shared that they enjoyed their time on set during filming.

He quipped, saying there weren’t any enforcers of moral laws in Hungary, implying that his group frequently engaged in sexual activities together on a daily basis.
He then hugged Leoni and pretended to hump her.
The movie, featuring Paul Rudd alongside other actors, revolves around lethal unicorns, the magic of whose blood heals all ailments. It’s set to release on April 4th.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni latest
The relationship between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni may have taken a turn for the worse when he expressed belief in being able to communicate with her late father.
In her court documents (containing accusations of sexual harassment, which Baldoni firmly denies), Lively claims that the actor, who practices the Baha’i faith, frequently made comments about being able to act inappropriately.

Reports indicate that Lively takes great care regarding her late father, Ernie Brown, whom she memorializes in her haircare line named Blake Brown.
Vernon Kay’s star rises
Over the past decade, circumstances have significantly shifted for Vernon Kay. In 2010, he found himself under scrutiny due to text message exchanges with model Rhian Sugden, and it seemed as though his success level was surpassed by his Strictly Come Dancing co-host and wife Tess Daly. However, things appear to be improving for him now.
On BBC Radio 2, Kay’s program boasts an impressive following, with approximately 7.2 million tuning in – the highest listened-to show nationwide.

And ITV have just ordered a second series of Dress The Nation, which he fronts with AJ Odudu.
In this television series, broadcasted in October of the previous year, aspiring fashion designers face off against each other in hopes of winning the ultimate prize: an opportunity to design their very own clothing line, which will then be manufactured and retailed by Marks & Spencer.
