Naomi Ackie addresses Star Wars return in new movie

Star WarsNaomi Ackie has addressed the possibility of returning to the franchise.

In the year of 2019, I stepped into the limelight, taking on the role of Jannah – a fierce fighter standing tall against the First Order, in none other than The Rise of Skywalker.

As a die-hard Star Wars fan, when asked about my potential return as the character in the long-awaited movie titled New Jedi Order, I responded to ScreenRant: “Well, they should ask! Star Wars, let’s make it happen! If I receive a call, we’ll see what transpires. I’ll check if my schedule is clear!

Earlier, the actress expressed to Digital Spy her belief that the character Jannah might potentially have a standalone series in the future.

2020 saw her express, “Jannah felt fresh and intriguing, and it’s exciting to me that the Star Wars universe is growing.

It seems like Jannah might be suitable for a standalone series. I was privy to some fascinating details about her past, shared by JJ Abrams, and there remains much uncertainty about her future.

When questioned about whether Jannah is Lando Calrissian’s (Billy Dee Williams) long-lost daughter, Ackie playfully responded by sealing her lips and said, “That’s as far as I’ll go with that information.

15 years on from the momentous events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” I, a dedicated fan, eagerly anticipate embarking on an exciting new journey with none other than Daisy Ridley’s Rey Skywalker in the upcoming series titled “New Jedi Order.” In this captivating tale, Rey will be guiding a fresh crop of Jedi apprentices.

Just announced: George Nolfi, known for writing films like ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ and ‘Ocean’s 12’, will write the screenplay. Meanwhile, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, a renowned documentary filmmaker, is set to take on directing duties.

Currently, the upcoming “Star Wars” movie set for production is the as-yet-unnamed project helmed by director Shawn Levy, famous for directing films like “Deadpool” and “Wolverine.

Just last week, it became known that discussions are underway for Ryan Gosling to take on a role in this upcoming project. The script for this venture is being penned by Jonathan Tropper.
