A smash hit US thriller branded a “masterpiece” will debut on ITVX in 2026.
Okay, so I’m really excited about this new show, Grosse Pointe Garden Society! It’s got Melissa Fumero, Aja Naomi King, and Ben Rappaport, and it’s dropping on a UK streaming service on January 11th. After that, it’ll also be on ITV2, so I’ll be able to catch it on regular TV too.
This NBC show follows the lives of wealthy people in the suburbs, all connected by a shocking murder.
What to Read Next
The new series, Grosse Pointe Garden Society, takes place in a wealthy, picture-perfect suburban neighborhood. It follows Alice, Birdie, Catherine, and Brett, whose seemingly perfect lives are turned upside down when a dark secret – a murder that everyone is hiding – brings them together.
As secrets and problems come to light in their seemingly perfect community, the group must deal with the strains on their friendships, marriages, and personal lives.

This series masterfully combines suspense and intrigue to delve into the damaging effects of striving for perfection, the intense expectations within seemingly perfect communities, and how secrets can destroy everything.
The series features a talented cast including Alexander Hodge from Joy Ride, Nancy Travis known from Last Man Standing, Matthew Davis of The Vampire Diaries, and Felix Wolfe from Raven’s Home.
The series premiered on NBC in February, but was cancelled after one season in June.
The TV series Grosse Pointe Garden Society has a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics generally agree that while the show’s plot twists aren’t particularly clever, the actors are engaging enough to make it worth watching, despite its scandalous portrayal of suburban life.

According to a review in AV Club, Melissa Fumero and Aja Naomi King deliver standout performances in NBC’s new drama, Grosse Pointe Garden Society. The show is described as an easy-to-watch addition to the growing number of network TV series that cleverly use nostalgia in fresh ways.
According to Variety, the show proves that taking familiar storylines and adding dramatic twists often works well.
In a review, The Age noted that the show occasionally feels overly sentimental and isn’t as strong when it tries too hard to be emotionally affecting. The review highlighted that the series shines when the characters are engaging in witty, sharp-tongued banter.
Everyone’s been saying the same thing – they absolutely loved it! People on IMDB are calling it a “masterpiece” and “charming,” and honestly, it reminds me a lot of How to Get Away With Murder. It’s got that same kind of vibe.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society will premiere on ITVX on January 11
