At present, murder mysteries are all the craze, holding viewers spellbound by series like “Death Valley” and “Ludwig.

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news as a gaming enthusiast! It seems that Netflix is preparing another blockbuster, aside from “The Thursday Murder Club,” which will take on the giants in the genre – none other than the legendary Agatha Christie.

The latest “Seven Dials Mystery” series is inspired by Agatha Christie’s 1929 novel of the same title and is reimagined by Chris Chibnall, who has worked on shows like “Broadchurch” and “Doctor Who”. Mia McKenna-Bruce, known for her role in “Persuasion”, portrays the young detective Bundle at the heart of the series.

Chibnall is co-producing with Suzanne Mackie and Andy Stebbing from The Crown, Chris Sussman from Good Omens, and Chris Sweeney from The Tourist (who also directs), as well as Joanna Crow from Supacell who takes on the producing role.

The three-part show, both humorous and thrilling, was jointly produced by Chibnall’s production house Imaginary Friends and Mackie’s Orchid Pictures, along with active participation from Christie’s family. James Prichard, Christie’s great-grandson, is one of the executive producers, representing Agatha Christie Limited – the company that has overseen the author’s rights for the past 70 years.

Brent from Package is among my great-grandmother’s collection of fascinating, funny, witty, youthful female characters,” Prichard expressed. “Witnessing her character unfold through Chris Chibnall’s writing and the production by Orchid Pictures and Netflix feels like a cherished dream. I believe audiences will be captivated by this universe we’ve crafted, and I eagerly anticipate further developments.

Mackie expressed his enthusiasm saying, “I can’t wait to breathe life into ‘The Seven Dials Mystery,’ and introduce a new crop of timeless Agatha Christie characters on screen. Collaborating with Chris Chibnall has been an absolute pleasure as we craft this daring, original, and ambitious vision for the series.

In collaboration with Chris Sussman, Agatha Christie Limited, and under the expert guidance of Chris Sweeney, we are eager to embark on this creative adventure. I can’t imagine a more thrilling first project for Orchid Pictures or a more suitable platform for this story than Netflix.

In a statement of her own, McKenna-Bruce expressed that Chris Chibnall’s scripts are exceptional, and she feels privileged to contribute to this fresh take on the well-known Agatha Christie narrative style.

Last year was when we filmed for the television program, but as of now, we haven’t set a specific date for its airing.
