I’m so excited! One of my favorite shows, Person of Interest, is finally coming to Netflix UK! It’s a really clever sci-fi mystery series created by the same guy who did Westworld, Jonathan Nolan, and all five seasons dropped on Sunday, March 1st. I can’t wait to rewatch it!
The TV show Person of Interest follows Harold Finch, a wealthy tech genius played by Michael Emerson, who creates a super-advanced system called ‘The Machine’ that can predict and stop terrorist attacks.
Harold Finch recruits John Reese, a skilled ex-CIA agent, to team up with two New York City police detectives and prevent ordinary crimes from turning deadly.

In addition to Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson, the main cast of Person of Interest features Taraji P. Henson (from Empire), Amy Acker (Angel), Kevin Chapman, and Sarah Shahi.
Sterling K. Brown, known for his role in This Is Us, also appears with Carrie Preston, Winston Duke, and Leslie Odom Jr. in another project.
The TV series Person of Interest marked Jonathan Nolan’s first time working in television. Jonathan is the brother of acclaimed director Christopher Nolan.
Jonathan also created the show Westworld and served as an executive producer on The Peripheral and the Prime Video series Fallout.
He’s co-written several screenplays with his brother for major films, such as The Dark Knight and Interstellar.
Person of Interest ran from 2011 to 2016 on CBS, raking up 103 episodes.
The series received widespread critical acclaim during its broadcast and currently boasts a 90% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Of the show’s five seasons, only the first one didn’t receive a perfect score from critics. They’ve since pointed out that the series consistently improved over time.
When it first aired in 2011, Paste magazine noted that Person of Interest had an intriguing idea, even if it wasn’t perfect, and expressed hope that the show would develop more fully.
TV Fanatic highlighted the strong development of the series in its second season, noting the consistently exciting blend of action and drama each week.
Season three of Person of Interest impressed The A.V. Club, who described it as a show that consistently improved. They noted it moved beyond a typical crime show with a unique angle to become a fast-moving, well-made science fiction thriller that constantly challenged its own ideas.
