A brand new Harlan Coben series titled “Lazarus” is making its way to your screens soon, as Amazon Prime Video has announced the premiere date and shared some sneak peek images.
The new thriller series, derived from an initial concept by the writer of “Fool Me Once” and “Missing You”, features Bill Nighy and Sam Claflin portraying father and son in a captivating saga filled with secrets and intrigue.
On October 22nd globally, the entire six-episode series of “Lazarus” will be available on Prime Video. New teaser images have been revealed, featuring Claflin and Nighy reprising their roles.

According to the official show summary, Joel Lazarus, played by Claflin, goes back to his home after the passing of his father, Dr. Jonathan Lazarus, portrayed by Nighy, who took his own life. Subsequently, he encounters unsettling events that seem inexplicable.
He finds himself immersed in a sequence of unsolved murders, as he delves deeper into the puzzle surrounding his father’s death and his sister’s murder from a quarter of a century ago.

Drawing out poignant emotions from “Lazarus”, Coben unveiled a strained bond between Joel and his deceased father, with complicated feelings resurfacing following Jonathan’s demise.
In a conversation with EW, he shared that he had long felt implicated by his father in the tragic murder of his sister. This feeling, along with the complexities of their family relationships and tangled mysteries, will culminate in an intense emotional eruption.
In the style of a typical Coe novel, Claflin added numerous enigmatic twists and suspenseful moments, leaving viewers yearning for more: “It’s filled with so many intriguing parts that make you want to find out what happens next.

In this production, we have Alexandra Roach from “Nightsleeper,” portraying Jenna Lazarus, Joel’s living sibling. Meanwhile, Kate Ashfield known for her role in “Shaun of the Dead” takes on the character of Detective Alison Brown.
Lazarus features David Fynn, known for his role in ‘Am I Being Unreasonable?’, playing Seth McGovern, as well as Karla Crome portraying Bella Catton.
Lazarus signifies another joint effort between author Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst, a BAFTA award-winning screenwriter, who have previously teamed up for Fool Me Once and Stay Close. Moreover, in this production, Sam Claflin not only stars but also serves as an executive producer.
Lazarus will be released on Prime Video on 22 October 2025.
