Myleene Klass marked a big family moment this weekend when her daughter Ava headed off to university.
The actress shared a heartfelt message as she dropped her oldest child, who is 18, off at college. She explained that the moment was especially meaningful because she raised her child as a single parent.
Myleene has been raising her daughters, Ava and 14-year-old Hero, on her own since separating from their father, Graham Quinn, in 2013. He worked as her bodyguard.
Breaking down in tears in her latest Instagram video, Myleene took a thinly veiled swipe at her ex.
The proud mother shared on Instagram that they’ve overcome many challenges together, especially navigating single motherhood, and she often doubted her ability to do it all on her own.
I shouldn’t have stressed – everything went brilliantly! The community really supported us, and today my wonderful daughter started university exactly as she wanted to.

In July, Myleene publicly revealed the reason for her split from Graham: she discovered he was having an affair with a famous person. This news quickly spread online, and fans immediately began speculating about who it could be.
After Myleene hinted the person responsible is known for being part of a famous family, several female celebrities are now facing accusations.
Myleene Klass revealed on Paul Brunson’s podcast that she once caught her husband with a celebrity on her birthday while they were on a balcony.
It took me a while to come to terms with what happened, and it was really hard watching them thrive while I was struggling. I don’t want anyone to go through something similar, and it felt especially complicated because my own life fell apart so publicly. They’ve continued to build a successful image as a family, even after everything.
Since their father wasn’t around as Ava and Hero grew up, Myleene wanted to be a strong positive influence in their lives.
Myleene felt sad after dropping Ava off on Saturday, describing the drive home as feeling empty without her daughter in the car.
I felt like all the moms were with me on the drive to and from the university. It was quite a day! My car broke down, but thankfully @ryansmith_51 quickly got me a replacement. We then packed it up with an air fryer, a hair dryer, and Ava’s guitar and headed to her university.
I helped her move into her new place while it was pouring rain, carrying boxes and bags upstairs. I wanted it to feel cozy right away, so I put up her fairy lights, made the bed with freshly washed bedding – I even used extra softener to make it smell like home – and then quickly ran out to get a few last-minute things.

The feeling of finally stopping the car, looking around at the empty space where belongings used to be, and remembering sharing the journey with her child is deeply moving. Surprisingly, it’s mixed with a powerful sense of joy, satisfaction, and pride as a mother.
To everyone who has been with us on this journey, offering support and encouragement – thank you. I see your dedication, especially now as things are coming to a close this week. I’m looking forward to celebrating with you. If we succeed, we’ll be able to let go, knowing we’ve done everything we could.
‘Proud of us all x’
Myleene Klass recently spoke out strongly to protect her children from being labeled ‘nepo babies,’ emphasizing that her teenage daughters are achieving success through their own efforts.
Myleene Klass told the Daily Mail that her children, Ava and Hero, are talented because they work hard. She’s confident they won’t need to rely on her fame to succeed, stating they’ll be able to earn their own living because she’s equipped them with the skills to do so.
The former Hear’Say singer, who shares six-year-old son Apollo with her fiancé Simon Motson, has taught her children the value of work and made it clear they won’t be financially supported by her.
Last month, Ava got fantastic A-Level results in English, only four marks away from a perfect score. Her mother, Myleene, shared that Ava’s former school is so impressed with her exam paper, they plan to use it as a teaching example.
Myleene Klass addresses criticism about being a ‘nepo baby’ by highlighting her daughters’ natural talent and musical abilities, confidently stating that genuine skill can’t be dismissed.
The celebrity explained that her daughter worked incredibly hard to pursue music. She practiced piano for eight hours daily and earned her place at the Royal Academy of Music through a competitive audition – it wasn’t simply given to her because of her mother’s fame. She really had to prove herself, and that’s what’s important.
People might say my kids benefit from nepotism, but they’re incredibly talented musicians – they can perform Rachmaninoff concertos at a truly high level.

Why would you label someone a ‘nepo baby’ if they’ve clearly worked hard and earned success through their own efforts and talent?
My daughters both have weekend jobs, and some people have commented that I’m making them work too young. But as a working mom myself, I want them to understand the importance of earning their own money and the satisfaction that comes with it – knowing they’ve earned something and can choose how to spend it.
I’m confident they’ll succeed because they have the skills to earn a good living – I made sure of that. However, I can’t solve all their problems for them; they need to handle some things on their own.
