Myleene Klass claims she was targeted for being ‘a little bit brown’ by a ‘straight white male’ as she celebrated receiving her MBE at Windsor Castle

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but echo Myleene Klass’s sentiments when she shared her heartfelt experience of what seemed to be racial discrimination during the celebrations for her investiture at Windsor Castle. She was allegedly targeted by a ‘cis white male’, which left an unpleasant mark on an otherwise momentous occasion.

During the July ceremony, the TV and radio host, aged 47, received recognition from King Charles III for her significant contributions towards women’s health, increasing awareness about miscarriages, and charitable work.

However, despite the festive atmosphere of the event, Myleene (who is of Filipino descent due to her mother’s birthplace) later asserted that a certain individual made derogatory remarks targeted at her ethnicity.

In a post shared with her Instagram audience, she wrote: “It seems like you’ll soon call the Palace home, given your current pace.

‘ME: ‘Because I spend so much time there these days?’

‘WCM: ‘No because all Kensington houses have a Filipino’

At a work event, someone made a casual, insensitive comment about my MBE, joking about it in an attempt to get laughter from others. The person who made the remark was a white, cisgender male.

It’s concerning, yet satisfying, that the WCM saw this as a joke. This is because it showcases the positive disruption and representation I consistently strive to bring about through my work and voice. And yes, being of color has also been part of the journey.

In simpler terms, when someone is cisgender (shortened as cis), it means their personal sense of being a man or woman aligns with the sex they were assigned at birth.

Her remarks were made in response to a screenshot of someone else, who had privately messaged her an unkind comparison likening her to a domestic worker.

You remind me a lot of my maid from when I lived in Brazil. It’s fascinating how anyone can look put-together with wealth. Great job!

The post comes amid claims of a rift between Myleene and Frankie Bridge.

The radio host reportedly has a decade-long dispute with the 36-year-old Saturdays singer, supposedly due to Myleene feeling she was being ignored by Frankie. This allegedly led to a confrontation between them at the 2013 Glamour Women of the Year awards.

It seems that the tension was so high it required ITV’s intervention to prevent any disputes during the daytime talk show, Loose Women, which frequently features both of these celebrities.

Previously this week, Frankie discussed the speculations regarding her personal life and the reality series she’s on.

I absolutely adore it! The ladies are not only hilarious but also incredibly supportive. The behind-the-scenes crew is equally fantastic and essential to the success of the show. I consider myself extremely fortunate.

For much of my professional journey, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with exceptional women. And I must say, I’m quite content with this arrangement.

It’s rumored that Myleene has found herself in disagreement with her bandmates, Frankie and Rochelle Humes, who were previously protected by her ex-bodyguard (and former client).

Reports suggest that ITV has intervened to resolve a longstanding dispute that’s only recently become public knowledge, having lasted for nearly a decade.

Once upon a time, the three were inseparable friends, as evidenced by Myleene and Frankie joining their mutual colleague Rochelle at her bachelorette party back in 2012.

The year after their encounter at the 2013 Glamour Women of the Year awards, they mutually decided not to collaborate again.

Last Christmas, due to a lack of available staff, it turned out that Myleene and Frankie were both on the same Loose Women panel. This led to an ‘uncomfortable’ discussion with limited conversation between them.
