Honor of Kings esports is looking ahead to 2026, starting with the MY Honor of Kings League (MKL) Spring 2026, which begins this February. The league will feature both online and in-person competitions. The winning team will automatically qualify for the Honor of Kings World Cup later in the year.
MY Honor of Kings League (MKL) Spring 2026: Schedule and Format
This is the third season of the Honor of Kings League (MKL) Spring 2026. The exciting MOBA competition will be co-hosted by Level Infinite and TiMi Studios. This year’s event will see some changes, as the previous champions, Black Shrew Esports, will not be participating because they are no longer part of the franchise partnership.
The event will unfold in three phases. The first, the Group Stage, begins on February 26th and lasts until March 28th, featuring ten teams. Teams will play each other once in a round-robin format, and then the competition will move to a best-of-five series.
Okay, so here’s how it works: the top two teams after the group stage move straight into the playoffs. The bottom four? They’re out. But it’s not over for everyone! The next four teams get a second chance in the Play-Ins on March 29th. And get this – those Play-In matches are best-of-seven, and they’re using the Ultimate Battle mode for every single game! It’s gonna be intense.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited for the next stage! Basically, the teams are being ranked, and the top two will make it to the Playoffs. Those Playoffs are happening April 3rd through the 5th, and it’s going to be awesome – a double-elimination bracket with four teams battling it out. Every match will be a best-of-seven series using the Ultimate Battle format. It’s going to be epic!

The league is growing and will now include ten teams, six of which are established partners. This season will welcome back SLxDTE Gaming. A new format is being introduced for all regional leagues: matches during the regular season will be best-of-five, and playoff matches will be best-of-seven.

Prize Pool
Okay, so the total prize money for this tournament is a sweet $60,000! The winner will obviously get the biggest chunk, but everyone who places will get something, depending on where they finish.
Teams can win prizes ranging from $500 to $100, depending on their performance. In addition to this, there’s a standard prize pool distributed as follows:
